JiggaMan512 Posted April 20, 2009 Posted April 20, 2009 A friend and I are going out on Conroe (tomorrow), Tuesday the 21st , in his (small/SLOW) john boat. If you've been going out to Conroe recently, ANY advice would be HIGHLY appreciated. i.e.. lures/lure color/sweet spots/presentation/structure/average depth of (largemouth) activity (assuming you've been there recently), and any other advice would be GREAT! friendswood fisherman Posted May 2, 2009 Posted May 2, 2009 Too bad no one has responded to this post because I could use a little help myself!! I'll finally have my boat back together tomorrow after the beating it took during the McDonald's tournament! I am planning to fish on Conroe this Sunday but I have not been on that lake in over 2 years and for some reason I have never had true success there. I was hoping to find out what and where if any one knows!? :-? Quote
Super User fishfordollars Posted May 2, 2009 Super User Posted May 2, 2009 Fished it last Saturday. Water is coming up and the ones I caught were on a 3/8 Black buzzbait and a jig. Nothing over 3 1/2 but did manage to put 5 in the boat that would go around 13 lbs. I put in at Stow-a-Way and went North fishing the scattered grass along the flooded banks. fish were hitting the buzzbait about two feet out from the grass line. Yess there is grass along the flooded banks. Good luck. Quote
