RottManK9 Posted March 20, 2009 Posted March 20, 2009 Check out the pic I posted in My Tourney or Outing. I took that bass in a PUBLIC 12 acher pond. Don't know what the water temp was but the air temp was about 45 with a wind steady at about 15mph. I took that bass off the point of the brush pile. Unfortunately I didn't weigh it in my excitement and trying to get one of my son's over to take the pic! But OH WELL! The first one of 09! Hope it continues!!! LOL! Quote
Super User senile1 Posted March 22, 2009 Super User Posted March 22, 2009 Good job, Dude! My wife's parents live in Sedalia. Where is that pond located? That's a nice fish. Quote
Fishing Doug Posted March 22, 2009 Posted March 22, 2009 Nice fish Rottman! I grew up south of Marshall and we still have the family farm there. I visit fairly often and am in Sedalia every once in a while visiting friends. I heard Blind Pony lake near Sweet Springs is now re-opened. Not sure what the fishing is like now, but before it closed (2004??) we had a few great fishing days up there. Just thought I would throw that out there in case you were looking for another place to fish and was unaware of it. FD Quote
RottManK9 Posted March 22, 2009 Author Posted March 22, 2009 That was out at Clover Dell, it's MAYBE a 5 min drive from my house. I don't know if Blind Pony is open to fish yet, last I heard it wasn't but I'm gonna have to check into that. It's been closed for several years, it'll be good fishing due to lack of pressure on the fish! Any time you are down this way let me know, maybe we can get a line wet together. Rott Quote

RottManK9 Posted March 23, 2009 Author Posted March 23, 2009 I just looked at the DOC page and it says it should have been open to fishing 1 March 09! the main page doesn't say it's closed anymore! I'd go today but it's WINDY and raining right now. If it clears up I may head out. Rott Quote
Robert B Posted March 25, 2009 Posted March 25, 2009 I also live in Sedalia and mainly fish the upper part of the Ozarks and Truman. Glover Dell is a nice place to take your kids or in my case grandson. I've caught some nice bass out there. Another place to try is north of Warrensburg, Hazel Hill. Go to mdc.mo.gov to find it. RottManK9 Posted March 27, 2009 Author Posted March 27, 2009 I beat the banks at Hazel Hill a few years back and did pretty good. Now that I have a little boat I'd like to go back out there and get in them trees! Quote
