Then go to your congressman's website and get his/her e-mail address and send a message about how you don't want this policy enacted in the Tulsa District of the Corps of Engineers.

For those of you in eastern OK - go to http://www.house.gov/boren/contact.shtml and contact Dan Boren. He knows about this issue and needs to be proded into doing something about it before it gets worse.

This is one small area where california might not suck as fiercely as it usually does. Somewhere in the state constitution is the navigable waterways act, which can stop them from doing something like this. I have had several arguments with marina concessionaires and private dock owners who claimed i could not fish their marina/dock.

If you can get ONTO the water without trespassing, there is nowhere that you can't go/fish.

I have had rocks thrown at me, cussed out, authorities called, and just about anything you can dream up when dealing with dock owners. We have a list of a few on several of the lakes around here and all of us make a point to fish certain docks. Not to chap the owner, but to let him know that we mean no harm and are not trying to steal his equipment. Unfortunately, some are just the horses a-- that they are in everyday life. Several we have converted and they are no longer a problem; however, several are allways spoiling for a fight.

Be careful if you do not know the owner, several have actually pulled guns on fishermen in this area.

I dont understand why you would want to run electric wire through the water.  Especially not incased in conduit.  Just asking for a problem.

Here in NY they post off-limits in marinas, so I understand your pain.  So, we have to contend with that and the nasty individual boat dock owners >:).

I have never had a problem with a dock owner in Virginia.

On Lake Anna there is one guy who will walk out on his back yard and stare at us or throw sticks to his dogs along his bank, but otherwise no problems.

Two of the guys in my bass club have had one guy run out of his house carrying a shotgun and after reporting the incident to the local Sheriff their have not been any future problems.

I guess the people in the south are more acceptable to allowing us to fish their property.  :)
