I saw them in the Basspro catalogue. Haven't used them but why not just take a little coffee along and pour some in the tube before you insert the jig. Might be worth a try, especially for those early morning bass that have trouble waking up. ;D

Caffinated or Decaff?? Something else to promote the "Curse of the Bait Monkey". Still, maybe you could just soak some tubes and/or worms in some coffee overnight?? Worth a try, I guess.

Q: Know how to make Bass jittery??

A: Make them swim around in coffeee:o)

I bought a pack of the natural goby 4 inch and I fish the susky near harrisburg and I picked up just as many fish as I normally did on any other tube but I know I'll buy more packs for this spring

I'm sort of curious to know how and why a bass might be attracted to something like a coffee flavor. That's not something normally found in their environment. I don't know what's in most bass attractants but I would guess its something that mimics odors and tastes in the foods they

normally consume.  Wouldn't an unnatural taste or scent cause them to

reject the bait? I've always read to watch such things as gas on your hands.

While some odors like gas and oil may repel bass, others get them curious. Smells like garlic and coffee are new to bass, and they probably pick up the lures to investigate the smell/taste

I submitted a post before this one came out.  It was in reference to spraying coffee on your plastics, plugs etc.  An old timer told me about it and swears by it.

If I remember right someone (Hawg Caller??) posted test results about bass not being effecting by scent and even hitting baits soaked in gas??? :-/

I know an old man who spits tobacco juice on his baits and catches fish.  So I am sure that coffee will work.  It is not for me I have spent enough money on lures and such, so I will just stick to the basics.  I have been told that baits are made to catch the fisherman and not the fish.  lol.

Ok im in love with coffee tubes now, i used them today and cought 10 bass!! One 6.5 pounder, and the rest were 3 pounders. And this was in a lake where i never cought anything before.

The 6.5 pounder is the sixth biggest bass that i have ever seen in real life.

This week ill take it to my honey holes and catch the 13 pounder people have been talking about :)

Regardless if they work because of the coffee or not, they are very nice looking. Mine came in on Sat and the "skirts" are very nice. I see them doing well in my creek for smallies.
