Bass XL Posted June 29, 2008 Posted June 29, 2008 I was at Table Rock for a full week this year (sat.-sat.) and it wasn't too bad. If you'll be going to the lake soon, you better have your crankbait rod. 90% of my fish came on a Strike King Series 5 crankbait (sexy shad) just crankin' the flooded brush. I got some big fish doing this (look for the full report in the 'outings' section. It should be up in the next few days). About 95% of all fish caught this week were caught between 7am-8am. I also caught some good smallmouths dropshotting the docks using Grape/Pink Tail hand poured worm (Webb's Baits) with the hook about 14" above the weight. Good luck, and if you need any tips on spots or anything else, feel free to pm me. And look for my full report in the "outings" section; it should be up soon. Craig Quote
Javelin_Venom Posted June 30, 2008 Posted June 30, 2008 I am heading down to Table Rock for the first time ever in a few weeks. I sent you a PM. How high is the lake right now? I was reading some posts from a month or two ago and they talked of it being 14 feet high. What's the water clarity and temp.? If anyone has any advice for a first timer to Table Rock, please feel free to chime in. I have no clue what this lake is like other than what I've seen on TV! Thanks for the help. Quote
Bass XL Posted June 30, 2008 Author Posted June 30, 2008 Here is the report with a few pic's. More pic's will be added soon. http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1214791095/0 Quote
Javelin_Venom Posted July 6, 2008 Posted July 6, 2008 I'm going to be staying on Indian Point, do you know what state license I'll need? Or will I need both? Also, is there a good morning topwater bite during the summer? I'd love to get some buzzbait action going. Quote
Bass XL Posted July 6, 2008 Author Posted July 6, 2008 If you are planning on fishing both sides of the lake (Arkansas and Missouri) then you will need to get a special liscence so you can fish both. I think it's called the White River liscence. I'm not sure. If I were you, I would just buy the 1 week Missouri fishing liscence and stay on the Missouri side. A 1 week liscence will set you back about 40 bucks, but if you locate the fish, it's worth every penny. I actually havent had too much luck on buzzbaits at Table Rock. If you want top water action, use a Zara Spook. That seems to be the best top water bait on The Rock. Quote
