Lunkers0 Posted March 29, 2008 Posted March 29, 2008 Im going up in late May. I cant give you any help because this will be my first trip up there, but good luck and have a good trip. Quote
kms399 Posted April 9, 2008 Author Posted April 9, 2008 wow it took a long time to get a reply on that one ;D ;D even though it was 11 months ago i still think about it all the time. when i went i hadn't fished yet and on my fifth cast of the season i landed a 5.8 lb largemouth. great way to start off the season. we caught tons of fish mostly shallow the spawn was going strong and we caught them on senkos, shallow cranks and lizards mostly, we caught a few on top water as well. weather was decent it rained two of the days we were there but it was just a light rain and we fished through it. the fire ban was a pain but over all it was a great trip i am going to vermillion this year instead I hope to hit the bwcaw next year though. good luck on your trip. BassChaser57 Posted April 11, 2008 Posted April 11, 2008 I have fished Rainey for several years and clear Heddon Zara spook with the blue back always produces. Rapala X-raps #10 in the ghost will get them also. For Northerns a red and white or 5 of diamonds spoon brings em in, I like the 3/4ox size. Good Luck Quote
kms399 Posted April 11, 2008 Author Posted April 11, 2008 five of diamonds is THE go to lure for pike. I also like the 3/4 oz size. the 3/4 oz gold red eyes work really well too. Quote
Lunkers0 Posted April 13, 2008 Posted April 13, 2008 Lol! I didn't even look at the date of your post when I replied. I'm glad you had a good time on your trip. I will post my report after I get back from my trip. I'm really looking forward to it. Quote
