Several years ago when i fished the you state qualifier there it was a very good lake.  We ended up just bringing grills etc for the food, i think me and my dad slept in the back of the minivan so i don't remember what the camping was like out there.  It was well worth the drive to find that boat ramp, I just remember how clear it was, atleast it was the clearest lake i had fished a tournament which isn't much considering we fish all mud bottom lakes.  But i was throwing a spinnerbait across some weed beds and watching the bass come chasing my lure was amazing.

We don't get that very often in KS, do we?  :(

I'm a Missouri guy but I maybe interested, if you will have me.   I'm looking to get my first bass boat this winter and I'll be looking to expand my horizons after being shore bound for my entire life :(

It looks like we have a lake. Bone Creek. :(

Now we can start on the weekend that works for everyone.

Hammer Bone Creek is just over the horizon so come on over we wont hold being from Mo against you. But watch out for those KU fans :( You would be more than welcome.

I went to the Mo. get to gether last year and had a ball even though it was close to Columbia. ::(  I've got no problem with someone coming from Mo., Ok., or wherever.  The entry fee over there was a couple of lures, with the winner taking all.  If we get enough, maybe we could pay two or three places.  Just a suggestion because it's just for fun, anyway.  One question though, we might have to check with KDWP about a permit.  Don't want to get anyone in trouble.

I'll have my MU gear on when I show up so you all will know who I am  ;D

BTW, got snowed out today trying to go see the boat I want.  Its not much, '78 procraft that has been rebuilt from the 'ground' up with a 50 hp merc.  Fits my boating experience, I have never had a boat that didn't have sails  :(

Your not as crazy as me then. I went last weekend in the snow 16 hours round trip for a 78 Ranger with a 50 merc.  :) Did find that My Tacoma had no problem pulling it in the worst weather. :(

78 Procraft sounds like a good boat and already rebuilt too.

If I'm not fishing Fork that weekend, I'll be there wearing my Orange Bowl Champions hat and tee.

All right, here's the best I can do:

1. Get to 69 Hwy. You're on your own here.

2. From the north; go about 13 miles south of Ft. Scott to 680th Ave., go west on 680th 2 miles to 200th St., turn north on 200. 200St. IS the boat ramp a little over a mile from 680th Av.

2b. From the south; go about 4 miles north of Arma to 680th Ave. then do the same.

Warning, the last three miles is on gravel roads but the boat ramp is double, concrete, and has a small dock.

Bone Creek is a lot like Lake Fork with it's cover, so DO NOT run on plane outside the boat lanes and main lake.

Your closest motels will be in Ft. Scott, about 20 minutes north of the ramp or Pittsburg, about 20 minutes south of the ramp.

The better food and adult beverages are located in Pittsburg.

There is another ramp at the west end of the lake, but that means five more miles of gravel roads and it is more difficult to find.

Let me know if I can answer any other questions.

have we decided on entry fees? also i read on the KDPW web page that 13"-18" fish can be kept....i think. we might also make sure theres no other tournaments that weekend or the weekend before, a lake that small wont take all the pressure. i know my clubs first tourny is the same weekend.
