Super User fishfordollars Posted October 23, 2007 Super User Posted October 23, 2007 The real secret is Lake Falcon just below Amistad. The secret will be out in January whin the pros hit it, if thewind will let them fish, 4 day total over 140 pounds, and if just right 150 pounds. I fished a tournament three weeks ago there and two day weights were over 50 lbs to win. Had 36.97 for two days and did not draw a check. Quote
Super User Matt Fly Posted October 23, 2007 Super User Posted October 23, 2007 Secret only to those that don't do research. Matt Quote
GeneinTX Posted October 24, 2007 Posted October 24, 2007 How much does the Mexican License cost to fish those lakes? Quote
Super User Matt Fly Posted October 24, 2007 Super User Posted October 24, 2007 A fishing license cost 42.00 dollars on the Mexican side and 45.00 for boat permit. If you buy them on the American side, they are 52.00 and 55.00, Americans want to make something also. Matt Quote
Super User fishfordollars Posted October 24, 2007 Super User Posted October 24, 2007 I think I can come up with some GPS cordinates that will help you if you are going to Falcon. Falcon Lake Tackle quit selling the permits along with a lot of other things. Seems they owner got mad at some people before he died and tried to make a point. As of last week in Sept. they were not selling the mexican permits. Quote
Super User Matt Fly Posted October 25, 2007 Super User Posted October 25, 2007 You need permits and license for Amistad also, providing you venture to the Mexican side. Matt Quote

Super User Matt Fly Posted November 8, 2007 Super User Posted November 8, 2007 yall should try eagle mountain lake its just north of fort worth. I'll try any lake once in Texas just to say I fished that lake and hopefully can add, I didn't get skunked on said lake also. But when we have been blessed with all the other lakes in Texas, EM is not on the top or close to the top of the list. I'm 45 minutes from Fork, Cedar Creek, Purtis Creek, and I haven't even hit traffic yet. Maybe you can show me Eagle Mount. one day next year. I'm still needing that one for my list to have hit. Little_Minnow Posted November 14, 2007 Posted November 14, 2007 Matt Fly I am on Eagle Mountain lake. I am very new to bass fishing, but grew up on this lake and can give you some detail about it if you come this way. Josh Quote
