JGBassinAL Posted August 26, 2015 Posted August 26, 2015 About that time! Got a Met XG and Alde HG on the way, will post pics when I get them in! 2 Quote
poisonokie Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 some people hate on it, but I actually like the unpainted zaion finish on the T3B. I wish they would've made the side plate match, but at least it matches the drag star. I got it to better balance my glass tatula and it worked out great. Sweet setup. And since I got an sv1000 spool for my T3, the 1016 found a home in this reel. Now my t3 is freed up for a dedicated BFS setup. Bye bye, spinning reel! Quote
Hogsticker Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 poisonokie - I have a lefty T3 Mx with 1016 spool and some other goodies for sale at a smoking price if you're interested in adding to the stable. 1 Quote
Cgrinder Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 Nice shot of a couple combos at the lake today. Met HG on a Zodias H, Chronarch Ci4+ HG on an NRX 853c, and Zillion on a Flat Side Special. 9 Quote

Sweet combos.. I just got a Zodias 7'2H and have the Chronarch mounted on it, going to use it for 10 inch Jackal Flickshakes and see how it goes. 1 Quote
John G Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 I will have the money for that rod very soon. My only problem is convincing myself that spending $600 on a rod is a sane thing to do. I keep telling myself that we only live on Earth once and I can't take my fun money with me and as long my bills are paid, I might as well get the best bass rod that Shimano makes so we'll see. 4 Quote
Hogsticker Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 ^^ I see no problem with your theory. If you can afford it, why not. Like ya said, you can't take it with you when you leave. 2 Quote
Super User rippin-lips Posted August 28, 2015 Super User Posted August 28, 2015 That's how I view life. If my bills are paid then why not put a smile on my face by buying something I will enjoy. I could die on my way home this evening from work. 2 Quote
I.rar Posted August 29, 2015 Posted August 29, 2015 My travel/beater rig. A bit heavy compared to my bfs but it definitely gets the job done. Quote
JGBassinAL Posted September 2, 2015 Posted September 2, 2015 New Met XG and Aldebaran HG, gonna give em a good workout this weekend! 4 Quote
DirtyDeuceGoose Posted September 3, 2015 Posted September 3, 2015 Nice handle on that Met. Love my Hawgtechs. Quote

I could die on my way home this evening from work. Or I could die once I got home from the store. Interesting choice. Either way, I should stop and fish first. Quote

Out of the 7 cq's i had before this, the only one i didnt regret selling was my 14' 101. The older 50/51s are the best 1 Quote

thehooligan Posted September 5, 2015 Posted September 5, 2015 What's up with your hate on SVS Infinity reels Haha, no hate. Just prefer the older shimanos. Same with daiwa, give me the classics... Quote
Super User kickerfish1 Posted September 6, 2015 Super User Posted September 6, 2015 Added Another TDZ 100m. Need to determine what rod to pair it with. 4 Quote
Super User Jrob78 Posted September 6, 2015 Super User Posted September 6, 2015 Added Another TDZ 100m. Need to determine what rod to pair it with. That reel looks barely used! 1 Quote
Super User kickerfish1 Posted September 6, 2015 Super User Posted September 6, 2015 Thanks Jrob! The reel has been used but not abused. That happens to be its "good side". It has a few marks on the top of it and a few on the side plate. Overall not too bad. It is going to need to be serviced. I will toss in some carbontex washers, bearings, faster gears, and a new handle and knobs. 1 Quote
