thehooligan Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 Reel will hold 120 yds of 14lb line, not sure what the max size line I can get on there. I plan on throwing lighter baits in the 3/4-2oz range.... Quote
buzzfrog Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 My "finesse" bait cast combo. Use this for light worm fish, jerkbaits, senkos, etc. This one has the custom anodized star drag and cast control knobs from a Curado 200E7. Blue anodizing matches the accents on the Dobyns Champion rod (704C) very well. Is all that blue custom from the hawgtech, I got my custom made rod in white and orange. I wanted to do something like that to my smoke, orange and cork; all orange controle etc.. Quote

Pretty simple. This thread is for tackle enthusiasts who love their equipment to display it. Nothing more, nothing less. And I'll take that bet on the $30 vs $300 setup any day of the week. 4 Quote
WiregrassRiverRat Posted March 7, 2014 Posted March 7, 2014 Cool story I feel like this should be followed by a hardy "Come at me Bro!" or a "Don't Bro me if you you don't know me!" "Do you even boat flip?" I made that last one up! 5 Quote

OK Bass Hunter Posted March 7, 2014 Posted March 7, 2014 It ain't about the price of the combo, it's the joy you get of fishing it, owning it, playing with it during cabin fever season and playing with it some more. Quote

Tim S. Posted March 9, 2014 Posted March 9, 2014 I use high-end gear for one main reason-dependability. When I set the hook on a BIG fish, the last thought I would ever have is "I hope my rod/reel/line doesn't fail me". And yes, ALL my combos cost way more than $300 each. Heck, my Steez reels retail for twice that. 1 Quote
