Strange, you seem to have the same wall and at least one same rod as the fellow that posted a few posts before.

I did post a few posts earlier but I bought another Legend Tournament (my 4th) and the Legend X.  I thought the wall made a nice backdrop.  I have the SC disease.  I have 12 of their rods ( 1-Legend X, 2 Legend Xtremes, 4 Legend Tournaments, 2 Legend Elites, 2 Avids, and 1 Mojo Musky).

And to think I used to ice fish with a cheapo solid glass jig pole with a line cradle for hand wrapping.

My first ice rod was, like you, a solid fiberglass rod with one guide at the end and a cradle. I made my own spring bobber out of a straightened paperclip and it did work quite well!

A little bit of flex, but here's my current USA Destroyer casting collection. I've been smitten with these rods for many reasons. I'm running all Lew's reels because I like them and I can pull them apart blindfolded at this point.

I've dumped almost all of my St Croix rods for Megabass.. they are that good.

L to R

Bunker Buster - Lew's Hypermag

Daemos - Lew's Hypermag

FMJ - Lew's Pro TI

Javelin - Lew's Pro TI

Ottomat - Lew's Tournament Pro LFS

Not pictured is a destroyer Brigand spinning rod & two Orochi XX's (everyone has seen those a million times). Apparently i'm a MB fanboy now.

i have a few Legend T SC rods but mostly ABU and a few Megabass. i am just now getting to like the SC rods. Compared to the ABU Villains and the Orochi's I'm used to, the SC always feel heavy, out of balance and just sort of all around clumsy so I never actually used them much at all. But this spring I took the Steez reels off, bought a couple of Tatula SV TW reels and put them on. Seems a much better match for the somewhat tip heavy SC rods. They balanced much better.

So, I started taking them out last May and by September I was really starting to like them. Thinking about trying one of the Legend X's. It just goes to show that you can't really tell how a rod fishes without...well, actually fishing with it.

As far as your wall goes, it's very nice...for some reason I thought that it was two distinct people posting those 2 shots. I figured that maybe you and your Dad, pal or son were both showing off gear.

I finally pulled the trigger on a pair of poison glorious rods, and was so blown away by several things.  I thought if I had the money I'd order 2 more and have a glorious winter. Well, a girlfriends bday led me to the casino that weekend for a bday dinner, and it turned out to be my lucky night.  Ordered 2 more the next day from jdm tackle haven (first 2 from ebay).  Its probably unhealthy how good it feels to just hold and look at these rods, but that's the nature of the disease.

Two recent acquisitions thanks to members here.  A Steez and Zillion to spoil me.  This shows that there can be some superb deals on the flea market if you are patient.  Thanks Kai and John !!!!!

Let's see some better pictures.

I'll make that happen sson.  I have pets that love cork, so I'm waiting to take off the wrappers until I'm done screwing around with them in my living room.  New rods need to hang out in the living room for a couple of weeks if it's the off season.  You never know when you'll feel the need to whip it around and annoy your wife.  It's time though...I'm thinking I can fish tomorrow before the OU game, so I'll snap a few then.

I had 2 LTB casting rods that were so tip heavy I had to sell them. Which models do you use? do you find them tip heavy?

My LWS rod is beautiful, balanced and sensitive. My LTB casting rods were another story. What is that LYM80MH rod? I’ve never heard of it.

@Keeper Sorry should have typed LTM80MHF.  It is one of my musky rods.  I bought it back in 2010 so It's getting a little old but it only get used 4-5 days a year.  Also almost all of the LT rods are spinning.  Only the musky rod is casting if that makes a difference.

Here's my super tuned two bearing Abu 4500.  Stock bearings, polished brake drum, polished worm gear, polished idler gear post, polished spool shaft end, lightweight brake blocks, and my favorite lubes in all the right places.  This thing screams even better than my 7 bearing 4500CS some pages back in this thread.  Even got it's first steelhead the day before the snow storm we had a week ago.  Bearings?  Where we're going, we don't need any bearings.

Just got home from a 200 mile round trip to my favorite store. Needed an all round spinning setup to replace my old Shimano Nexave, went down there and saw these two. They gave me a good discount, I couldn’t really pass it up.

Since Abu doesn't make the 4500 reels anymore aside from limited runs, I decided to build my own since it's a favorite of mine.  I prefer a push button clutch on these reels so it was a must have feature for me.  Other touches are the old style bullet line guide, chrome frame, bigger handle grips, and the new style 4600 C3 spool.  I built it mostly from spare parts.  I love how it looks, but no clue how it fishes yet.  I may take it out the next free weekend I get and find out.
