For some reason though, I just had the urge to put on a pair of shades........................... Quote

Core is going on the cumulus, now i gotta figure chronarch or curado on the cumara... Still no Conquest 50........What was the reason again.......Ha Ha ....Is that a Simpson helmet box ....Very sweet. Quote

I have the curado 50e and core 50. I also own variations of the cumand cumulus. Very good performance with these products. When you get warmer conditions mess around with those 50 size reels with one brake and the spool tension knob set just tight enough to eliminate spool wobble. Under this setting with a trained thumb you can get some serious distance. Enjoy the new acquisitions! Quote
jhoffman Posted March 2, 2013 Posted March 2, 2013 Burgandy box on the floor is my electronics wiring box. These are all my rods minus two and not including fly fishing gear. My jig/lure/fly tying bench and all of my boxes green lid box is full and the 3700s are sitting on another full one. All bass gear are some form of daiwa reels, mixed bag of rods except for one pro qualifier I got as a christmas gift. Theres a few things in the boat too but not much. Quote

I was testing two brakes with the tension pretty loose, then one brake with the tension tighter. I gotta find the sweet spot... Quote

"Wow" is the first thing I thought on seeing your collection. The two I like the most are the two reels on the far left—whatever else can be said about the JDM Revo's, they certainly look a heck of a lot better than the USDM versions. BTW, I also love how you have everything on the correct side. Quote

Super User J Francho Posted March 6, 2013 Super User Posted March 6, 2013 Ray's stuff always makes me drool. Ray, you should tell the story about your magic trick, where your gear disappeared and reappeared a few days later. That story is a good as the gear! Quote

thehooligan Posted March 8, 2013 Posted March 8, 2013 My new combo, loving this 6'9 smallmouth rod with the 51e. Only problem is the handle is way to short. Gonna have to get used to it... Quote
Super User kickerfish1 Posted March 8, 2013 Super User Posted March 8, 2013 You are correct that is a very short handle for a casting rod. I haven't handled any of the elite tech casting rods, but the spinning rods are very comfortable to me. I like the looks of the rig paired together. Drop us a line on how it fishes from a performance/comfort standpoint. Quote
