Bought a Avail spool for my 17' Conquest BFS from Hedgehog. It's supposed to hold 50% more line than the original. I'll use the original for braid and the deeper spool for flouro. The spool itself weighs only 5g.

That is still a great arsenal.  Seems like where I live in the rods department (price wise).  Always wanted to try Phenix Rods but it isn't readily available up here in Canada.

I got that Phenix in a trade with a BR member.  It's pretty sweet. Pure glass goodness.  I think my next rod might be a Phenix feather.

Nice, let me know how well it fishes so I can be motivated to go across the border and find them.  :ok-wink:

They must pay much more for mowing grass now than when I did it haha.  Even when I worked 60+ hrs a week landscaping during summer break, in between college semesters, I still didn't make enough to buy all those toys. Milk it while you can dude!

Are we gonna see you on one of those TV shows documenting the "financial irresponsibility" of lottery winners?? HA!

yeah its pretty good money buts its 15 hour days in the summer going house to house but its worth it in my opinion. If I don't get help soon then probably the new bantams do look nice.

d**n, can't see the cool frog insert on that DX. How do you like the rod? I bought mine late last year and didn't get to fish with it much, but the little I did, I liked it.

I like it alot, really like the long full cork handle. It's alot more stiff than I usually like in a frog rod, so I'm trying to get used to that but I'm impressed with it overall

These do it all for me.

E6x 7’ MHF MBR

Curado 200i

Imx 7’ MHF MBR

Chronarch ci4+ 150

Planning to get get into some more technique specific stuff of this quality. A swimbait, cranking, and finesse setup should complete it (said the bait monkey).

Nice! My primary kayak rods are a pair of CR723 MBRs and I can do so much with just those two rods I kinda want a 4 Power to go with them.

Yup those are my yak rods, I can throw anything up to that hud on them and I can throw anything down to a little 1/16 spinnerbait. I wanna get another Dobyns and try a Megabass rod out. Thinking about getting a curado 70 and maybe a 300 size reel for big baits...

I have those same rods, except they are paired up with Chronarch E series.  Easy two of my favourites I like to use.

Those Chronarch e's are awesome reels huh? I've had them recommended to me for cranking, may have to add that to the line up as well...

Yes they rock, I have 4 200 sizes and 1 50.  I have a cranking one (5 ratio) very good crankbait reel.  Funny thing, I just realized I use small to medium swimbaits on my IMX too.  Use a 6 ratio reel, I usually have this tied on early season.

It can handle them to an extent, but with the taper being as fast as it is I ain't throwing over 2oz!

In my opinion they are the true all around rods.  I was shocked how well they worked for jerkbaits as well!
