Ronert, would that be an old Gerstner tool chest? Always wanted one of those.

I believe it is.  It's missing the front cover, which doesn't matter much for my use.

You can get these wooden tool boxes at Harbor Freight for $74.99.

It’s a below freezing Saturday in NJ and my new set-up just got delivered. I can’t even test cast it at my local pond because it’s likely frozen over.

(Thanks @Cyacnba for the beautiful reel!)

I can’t stop playing with it, and I’m stuck in the house watching Netflix...

Very nice!

I have a GLX MBR783c and I am slowly talking myself into picking up one of those reels for it.

Thanks! I’ve read nothing but great reviews. Spring can’t come soon enough.

Don't play with it to much or you could go blind :)

I have the GLX 842 and is awesome, works excellent for smaller jerkbaits and spybaits.

I’ve been looking for a nice jdm 2pc rod to keep in the trunk off and on for a bit now. After being told about Olympic graphite leader (who produces their own blanks and also makes some high end golf club shafts) from an online buddy who is constantly on the search for the best blank money can buy... I pulled the trigger on the veloce rv 6’9 mh/f. Build quality is great and the rod is light at 3.5 ounces. Won’t be able to test on the water sensitivity until spring but it feels nice and crisp, and for what they cost should perform just fine.

Here's most of my spinners. I have a few more in boxes scattered around. These are all ready to fish and I keep them exercised. I'll take some baitcaster and deep sea setup pics and post.

Would you say these line capacity ratings are correct or is the standard 8/170 for a Daiwa 2500 more accurate?

MONO: 8/240, 10/210

Going off the Daiwa website the 2000 size at 6/220 is more in line with the standard line capacity of a Daiwa 2500. They have the 3000 listed at 8/160 so I am wondering if they have the line capacities of the 2500 and 3000 backwards on the website.

Tackle warehouse also has the same listings.

I spooled with 10lb spectra  braid and the spool was 90%full and I still have about 50yrds left out of my 150yrd spool. So I would say there like capacity is off

With the LT series, the capacities have increased in the same reels from previous Daiwa offerings while the frame has been made smaller.  The 3000 C has more of an accurate line capacity versus the D in the 2500 or 3000.  The Tatula reels are great reels all across the board!

So for example I have a BG 2500 and a Stradic FK 3000 would a Tatula LT 2500 give me a frame size close to those two?

I want to try one of those reels but none of my local shops carry them so I will have to try it sight unseen which makes me nervous and almost makes me just want to go with a Stradic Ci4 2500.

BG 2500 would be bigger, as would the Stradic.  The new Tatula and all the LT reels are quite compact.  More like an older 2000 sized Daiwa with the capacity of the older 3000s.

Realistically, I have a Stradic 2500 Ci4+ and am blown away by the Tatula LT reels.

Agree the new LT is amazing small and so freakin light. I have a new ci4 as well and I'm thinking of selling it for a tatula

They look like they should be in a display case or above the mantle instead of fishing. Very sharp looking.

I seriously have a love hate relationship with these things. Its like a crazy ex that you just keep calling back. Buy, fish, sell, then regret selling. I had 2x of the FA's that just didn't feel "right" I am hoping the FB is different but time will tell. For now its sitting on my light weight jig set up (Cajun Custom Rods Trigger).
