Daiwa Procyon EX 2500SH

Paired with Fenwick Aetos 6'6" M/F

Not exactly sure what line is gonna end up on this yet..

Liking the feel of the reel though, and the Aetos is gorgeous, slight line guide and twist issue aside

have you used the fenwick yet? i ask because i wanted one but got the phenix M1 over it since i couldnt find a decent test or review

My collection consists of 1 $100 Diawa setup and a broken BPS reel.

Broke kid issues.

Haha I'm pretty much the same way, a broke high school student. my arsenal consists of a Curado I 6.3 on a Veritas 1.0 7' Med (my best setup yet) and a Shimano Catana on a Ugly Stik GX2 6'

I'm still using Danielson line from BPS, its only $3 for 500 yards of 15# mono!

I have a broken bps reel somewhere too, I think we all do.
I intend on getting a TD-Z on a Dobyns Fury soon. If I can come up with the money for it...

No I haven't.. the tip actually broke right above the first line guide when I went to get some line on the reel. <_< Currently waiting on a replacement.

Felt good in hand before that though and balanced perfectly with the reel, for what its worth..

I have a slightly different version.

90mm carbon fiber. Just like you find on the zillion type r.

Nice rig...like the spicy tdz.  I can't figure out why your 844 has an extra burl cork ring in the foregrip than my 843 has.  Not that it matters...but my ocd would want them to match my other mbr's.

KP- that was a good catch. I probably would have never noticed had you not pointed it out. Maybe one of the rod builders got a bit carried away with mine! Did you order your rod from the Tackle Trap? Maybe Loomis had some odd batch that went out that I received with an additional piece of burled cork.

Didn't know if it was the PX Type-R handle that tackle trap sells.

Same exact handle but 10mm longer. I can't do 80mm. It's too short for my liking.

Going to give this SV stuff a try... I'm thinking of adding some cork knobs to this.

I also got this bad boy in this week. Hawgtech handle with Winn grips is already in route.

Hey let me know if the SV really makes a huge difference with certain applications.  Specifically skipping...I'm pondering grabbing a Daiwa just for that. I saw a video that this woman claims she's just the average fisherman and it showed her skipping like a pro with the new Tatula SV! That Chronarch looks to be in supreme condition!
