Ordered 5 to hold me over until the 16 Met LH comes out. But my question is where did you get the green NRX? Looks like u got the MH, what length did u get it in? Mine should all be here within this coming wk I can't wait. All my reels weight less than 6.4oz, so the Exsence feels way too heavy for me. The G. Loomis is the NRX 803C (6'8"), which I got from Tackle Warehouse when they were on sale. I wish they had the blue ones on sale though lol Quote
Super User Master Bait'r Posted April 8, 2016 Super User Posted April 8, 2016 Stuck home with a sick kiddo, been reorganizing and cleaning fishing gear all day. I remembered I haven't posted a pic of the quiver lately so here goes. Behold: my four horsemen. (Bottom to top) 7'3" HXF 13 "NV" Black w/ Lew's BB1 Pro & 40# Smackdown. Kicker frog tied on. 6'10" MHF Megabass Destroyer Phase 3 Elseil W/ Shimano Exsence DC & 12# CXX. Biwaa Divinator tied on. 7'1" G. Loomis NRX 852c green w/ Daiwa Ito Ai Alphas &15# Smackdown. Megabass Hazedong Magnum w/ Trokar mag swimbait EWG weightless t-rigged. 7'1" 13 "NV" Black MLXF w/ Shimano Stella 2500S & 9# Gliss (reel is currently enjoying the day spa @DVT) I love these combos. Together they cover so many bases and all are simply a joy to even hold and look at, let alone fish. 6 Quote

The green ones are starting to get some good money since being discontinued. 1 Quote

It started almost 2 months ago and has just about come to an end. I filled almost all my tags and so far this is what I will have to show for it in pics later this coming wk lol. 15 rods, 8 reels and a divorce! Wait I'm not married and she paid for it all so anyway, the line up. 803C, 804C, 852C, 2-853C, 854C, 2-893C, 2-895C, 2-916C, 822S-DSR, 822S-SYR and a GLX 802 that was too cheap to pass up. I'm waiting for the 2016 Shimano Mentaniums to come out in LH but ordered these reels to hold me over cuz I fish tournaments. 13 Met XG - 3, 13 Met HG - 2, 13 Met - 1, 15 Calcutta Conquest 201HG and a 15 Shimano Aldebaran 51HG Need more Conquest's and the 16 Mets when available and need to start my GLX CB rod arsenal. Will post pics later this coming wk once everything comes in. Will probably sell the 13 Mentaniums when the new ones come in. Nice collection. Pair those GLX CBs with Conquest 101s...that combo is crankbait nirvana. Quote

Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted April 10, 2016 Global Moderator Posted April 10, 2016 I'm all in on this learning how to drop shot thing now. My new Okuma RTX 25 showed up Wednesday. Paired with a 7' 3" ML/F Ethos Micro and spooled up with 10lb braid. Took it out Friday and caught over 20 fish with it. Honestly more drop shot fish in a single day than I normally catch in a season. Reel felt really nice. 5 Quote
DesertBass Posted April 11, 2016 Posted April 11, 2016 Picked up this 6'9 ml villian at bass pro for $79!Normally don't do Abu but I couldn't help myself.Little stiffer than i'd prefer for a ml but I won't complain.Should be a decent small jerkbait/popper rod.Just gotta throw an mgx on her now! 2 Quote
KP Duty Posted April 11, 2016 Posted April 11, 2016 I purchased a few of those ml villains as well. Really like the blank...more responsive and sensitive than I thought it would be. I wish the handle wasn't so skinny though. Quote
Super User rippin-lips Posted April 11, 2016 Super User Posted April 11, 2016 @Bluebasser86 I've been fishing that reel for a couple of years now. For $75 it's tough to beat. It's super light and has a nice drag. Okuma has great cs too should you ever need it. 1 Quote

I like the big handle knob on it too. I'm guilty of being afraid to wander outside the box for reels but I have several Okuma baitfeeders I use for catfishing that have been solid reels. Now I have 2 of their reels for bass and I really enjoy them so far and they have great options in all price ranges. Quote
Nate Stonefish Posted April 11, 2016 Posted April 11, 2016 7' MH Mod With Revo SX #8 Seaguar and a Bagley Wake Bait - Only pic I have on my computer Will post another pic or two tomorrow! Tight Lines People! 2 Quote
EllisJuan Posted April 12, 2016 Posted April 12, 2016 Decided to try a gold handle instead of the carbon fiber one on my Conquest. The stock handle was WAY too short. When I got it I had a spare 95mm DIY carbon handle I threw on there with the factory knobs. I decided I wanted to see how the gold looked. I ordered an Avail 100mm handle and RCS cork knobs. I think I like it better? Which one do you guys think looks better? Before: After: 8 Quote

Stingray23 Posted April 12, 2016 Posted April 12, 2016 The gold looks great, but is the 100mm too long? And oh yeah, I NEED ONE OF THOSE REELS IN MY LIFE!!! Quote

Super User kickerfish1 Posted April 12, 2016 Super User Posted April 12, 2016 I would leave the gold handle on it and replace the cork Daiwa RCS knobs with the stock Shimano knobs. 1 Quote
