JeepFisher Posted December 31, 2015 Posted December 31, 2015 New Lew's TPG1SH and Ducket Ghost 7MH. Love the reel and so far really like the Ghost. I know Duckett has some quality issues but am hoping for the best. All the guides are lined up and not bent and I love the sensitivity so far. New Pinnacle DHC5 coming next week I cant wait to try I bought with gift cards. 1 Quote
XzyluM Posted December 31, 2015 Posted December 31, 2015 I'm still still not sure if I like the new Tournament Pro yet. The line guide being out in the open kind of worries me. I have four of the Tournament Pro reels and decided to order another last night. Almost ordered a G until someone dropped price to $138 shipped on flea bay. I was bummed when I went to order and realized the site I had found selling them for $130 shipped sold out over Christmas holidays. The spool tensioner cap is interesting though. Quote

Looking to add a Megabass Levante Perfect Pitch for froggin' come spring! I just ordered the Megabass Levante "Perfect Pitch" and it should be arriving Tuesday. I'm pumped that Megabass released an affordable offering. I'm pairing mine with a JDM Shimano Exsense DC that I just received. First impressions of the reel are; it's a smooth and flawlessly engineered piece of equipment. I'll post pictures of the combo on this thread sometime next week. By the way; if you're going to order that Levante off TW, get on it if you can, there was only 1 left in stock when I purchased mine. Just a heads up. Great combo man! JC 3 Quote
John G Posted December 31, 2015 Posted December 31, 2015 I have never seen a Zillion in person but I was under the impression that they are big because either you have huge hands or that reel looks very small. Quote
Super User rippin-lips Posted December 31, 2015 Super User Posted December 31, 2015 It's comparable in size to a Tatula. I think it's the angle but it does look tiny in his pic. 3 Quote
Logan S Posted December 31, 2015 Posted December 31, 2015 Probably won't get out for at least few weeks so everything came out of the boat, plus UPS dropped off a new rod . Finally grabbed the XX Spinnerbait Special, I think I'm going to pair it with the Scorpion DC and use it for dock skipping in addition to spinnerbaits...But any of the reels in the pile might find a home on it. The rods from the boat (except the new one), can you tell I like St Croix? Although MB is starting to make it's presence known . And why not throw a fish in there too, a dink from last Sunday on Lake Anna...Caught on the rod I'm likely reassigning now that the SS is in my lineup. Unfortunately not many fish bigger than this made in the boat, but being on the water without the cold weather gear on Dec 27th was good enough... 10 Quote
Jon G Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 Really loving my newest addition. 7' MH St. Croix Legend Elite with a Metanium HG. Only complaint is that the Elite doesn't come in a 7'3-7'4 MH . 10 Quote
WI_Angler1989 Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 Legend elite.......ooooooooooo want 1 Quote
Super User kickerfish1 Posted January 3, 2016 Super User Posted January 3, 2016 Is that a lone Shimano among those Daiwas? (Referring to the reel on the top left)... Nice collection 1 Quote
5fishlimit Posted January 3, 2016 Posted January 3, 2016 Yes, it's an older Scorpion that was bought together with the TD-Z in the middle with the orange thumb bar. It's a nifty little reel. I prefer magnetic brakes because you don't need to remove the side plate, and this has the 4x4 svs brakes with the dial on the outside. 1 Quote

Eh, they're more or less interchangeable but if choosing just one I'd go 683 since I can more effectively fish "tip down" techniques with it, like jerkbaits, flukes, etc. 1 Quote
Super User buzzed bait Posted January 6, 2016 Super User Posted January 6, 2016 well i already have a 682 so i may not need the shorter length, may have to go 703.... 1 Quote
Jake the Cake Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 Nothing special here. Bunch of $20-$50 reels and rods. But the way us two rednecks use them is priceless. 2 Quote
Scarborough817 Posted January 7, 2016 Posted January 7, 2016 5 of my 6 setups for next year only one missing is a 6'6" veritas which is my jerkbait & topwater rod Quote

Temps forecasted in the 30s and 40s and lows in the 20s with snow. Decided to snap a few photos of the casting reels I finished the year with once I removed them from their respective rods. I will work on getting better pictures and lighting when I have more time. These were the "dirty dozen". Half Shimano and half Daiwa so there would be no hard feelings. Group shot of the chosen 12 The 50's For the Hawgtech boys! Some Alphas love! For the TDZ fans! Stealth mode! Team Shimano! Team Daiwa! I will do a photo update at a later date and also do combo photos with the rods. Fish slime to be added later though all have caught and reeled in fish. This will have to do for now. I missed this post the first time around. It must have rocked the Daiwa and Shimano Posses world! Sacrilegious! Haha. Like you said, no hard feelings. Some of the customized stuff is beautiful. Very nice collection indeed. 2 Quote
RB 77 Posted January 8, 2016 Posted January 8, 2016 I really like this picture for some reason. I might be because I just love the Pearl color found on some of the Stradic models. I have a few Stradics myself. Really great reels IMHO. Quote
DelcoSol Posted January 9, 2016 Posted January 9, 2016 Just picked up this beauty. I must say this thing is a work of art. 9 Quote
WI_Angler1989 Posted January 9, 2016 Posted January 9, 2016 I don't have anything fancy for reels (yet) but I just got this little guy that I'm psyched about! 3 Quote
