Yes sir! That must be a fun machine!

I just got both today but from the short casts into my pool, it should be very fun. My hope is that the 50DC has no problems with the just under 3/16oz Megabass Baby Griffon and other smaller cranks and top water plugs. A 1/4 plug will be easy and will launch a mile and I just hope the smaller plugs do the same.

Thank you and congrats on your acquisition of the 50DC. This is actually my second one. I sold my first to Maico1 and I regretted it and bought another. Take my advice and use mono and always use easy to cast lures like cranks, top water, Super Flukes, jigs and T Rigs and you will love it. The mistake that I made with my first one was throwing less aerodynamic lures like blades jigs with 15# Big Game and the results were not good.

Yeah I read the TT review on it.. I was going to get a jackall nero rod for it but it's not comfortable on an ACS reel seat. I will get some time on it this weekend though

Been kind of a lurker on this particular forum and just started to kind of get into the higher end of things.  Never thought I'd spend so much on rods and reels.  But I really enjoy seeing some of the cool combos you guys have.  Picked up my first megabass (spinnerbait special) rod last month and have been trying to figure out what techniques I like to use on it.  I currently have a Shimano Scorpion 1001 SVS 4x4 on it.

Here is my motley crew.

I buttoned a few things up on the TDZ the other night. Reel was painted and a 100m handle color matched to the reel. Zpi knobs,SV spool, boca abec 7's,carbontex drag, worm gear upgrade. I have another TDZ coming Monday to toy around with. It'll need painted first though.

CarrotStix Pro Grade TI 7' Medium (I know, I like it)

The combo feels very good in hand, hope to get it to the lake tomorrow.

Lookin good Adam, classic and very clean.

Thanks Goose. Planning on getting the drag star and tension cap anodized black. That should do it for this one. The other will be a similar build color wise. Charcoal with satin black parts. I'll use a swept star and handle though.

Who are you sending the reel to for painting?

I'm taking it to my buddy Sean. He's been painting and airbrushing for a long time.

Didn't take the time to take any nice pics (or adjust legnths, sorry), but here are some quick ones of three identical (outside of length) combos given to myself and my two brothers by a man in my church. Reels: Shimano Bantam Curados. Rods: H action custom rods, each around 5'6 in length, my friend's ideal length for pitching and flipping. I wasn't sure about using a rod that short, but it was really easy to pitch with and handled some fish nicely.

Thanks guys, 4lb yozuri hybrid is flatout my favorite finesse line.

Does the 4lb seem quite a bit stretchy? The 6lb does.

My first post here. Just a photo of my favorite reel I have owned since circa 1973 now installed on a new Falcon Amistad Low Rider rod.

Anyways, hello, y'all have a lot of nice fishing rigs. Thanks for sharing.

yozuri hybrid seems to have less stretch then other lines I've used, imo

These pics have me wanting to come back out of retirement like Jordan with the #45 Jersey

I got one in 3.8:1 and I love it for throwing big cranks. Can chunk an XD a mile.

I'm pleased with the k2. Handle assembly/ reel seat is clean and much nicer and a little less "chaotic" than what I've come to expect from phenix. Blank as most of you know is excellent
