Alphas SV105P on the Tatula Elite 7' M/MH Ehrler AGS. I couldn't take the 80mm stock handle, so I bought a cheapo carbon fiber one off Amazon, unknowing if it would fit or not. It does fit, but there's a slight amount of in/out play on the knobs, so I have some spacers coming to tighten up the tolerance, still not awful right out of the box though. This is pretty much my favorite rod/reel combo at the moment, it throws 90% of my tackle, and most of it really well.

The ones by “KAWA” from the Kawa Official Store on Ali Express are good. No wobble on the knobs. But sometimes the hole that the gearshift fits into is burred on the inside and slightly too small and requires a little dremmeling out.

I can’t stand the small handles. My hand is too big for them.

One of my favorite platforms. I like it in SV flavor.  Mmmm

Yeah same. I just recently discovered this platform, since I really didn't pick up fishing until after they were released. I kind of graduated from Tatula SV -> Zillion SV -> SV103 -> SV105....probably have to go with the new Alphas CT at some point.

Does shipping take several weeks? I bought a 90mm off Ebay and the estimated delivery is like June. The 95mm handle off Amazon is OK, it may just feel a tad too big for the Alphas SV. I think the 90mm will probably suit me better...when it gets here. I couldn't find any 90mm cheapo carbon fiber handles on Amazon, otherwise I'd probably replace all my handles with them.

It depends. Some have ePacket shipping and cost about $15, they arrive in about 10 days. Some are are Around $10 and take 2 weeks to 2 months. If you search them often enough, you can find the listings that cost more and have faster shipping. One that I just ordered arrived in a week, but now that same exact listing is about $4 less and will take a month. Check the promised shipping times, because I think it’s free if they miss the promised receipt date. If they promise it within 2 weeks, you should get it in 2 weeks or less.

Ray's Studio on Aliexpress has a pretty good carbon handle for $30.  It is visually similar to the ZPI carbon handles.  They also have a $25 Carbon clicking drag star for Daiwa reels.  I have both the handle and drag star on one of my Alphas SVs.

Any clicker knob mod for the tension knob? That's actually the only thing that I think my reel lacks...

I found a rod for you.  I am really looking at the H/F 6’6” one but can’t find somewhere that will ship to the US.

Cleaned and lubed everything a sealed the cork.  A little line changing and it's time to go. Photos for the insurance agent so I figured, I would post them. What the heck.

My wife just walked up and looked at the screen and asked, " are you selling all those?"  She's so sweet.

that right there is one beautiful sight.

I need to send a pic to my agent too. I don't have nearly as many set ups but the 13 I do have all cost a pretty penny.

This is my lineup going into the 2019 season. I've finally purged my collection of oddball manufacture rods & rods that I was not totally smitten with. I've really focused on quality and decided these are the brands/models that really speak to me (currently). These guys have made the cut (so far).

Baitcast reels are mostly Curado K's, Lew's Tournament Pro's, or Tatula's. Spinning reels are either Ballistic or Tatula LT's.

Nice Selection.

ST Croix, G Loomis and or Megabass all really need to consider adding brand themed bedding to their already impressive line up.

It looks even better in person in natural lighting. The red is a deep, rich red. And then the accent colors are a glossy, dark titanium color with small red metal flakes in it. There's also a little scorpion etched in to the tension control knob.

Very nice! I'm a Daiwa guy, but something about the Scorpion reels has always gotten my attention

How do you think it compares to the chronarch Mgl and Curado DC when it comes to casting?

If you look very closely at my photo's, you'll see how much I've actually used this beauty so far :P

As I do with most of my new reels I get when something gets released, I'll post up a full review once I get some on the water use with it. Stay tuned in the upcoming weeks to the Rods/Reels/Line section.

Without a doubt they run on J.A.R.V.I.S. and are part of the Avengers.

Exactly what I was thinking! I saw baller posted his reel and was sitting here at work playing with mine and thought they match pretty well.

I just ordered a 105mm Kawa Handle from Ali Express on April 22 for $10.34 according to USPS tracking it is already at the local distribution center and will be delivered May 4.

Speaking of Kawa handles.  This custom painted 'urban camo' steez (MB IS73) has a $12 Kawa handle and knobs on it.  I bought it for the knobs but the handle is decent too.  No play in the knobs at all.  I want to get a Daiwa RCS style Basszone carbon handle and swap the knobs over.  Not a bad buy for $12.  I still need to build a rod for this reel.   It has an SS SV spool and magnet assembly.  It is meant to be a close quarters combat skipping machine.  Some day it will be finished.  I have way too many fishing related projects.  Priorities.

20190426-202554.jpg

There is no room on the Alphas and Pixy reels.  Too tiny.  You need an acorn style tension knob to even run a clicking drag star.  A clicking tension knob is not permissible by the platform.  No biggie IMO.

Looks like the same as the one in this pic. I expect to use the cork handles that came with the reel it’s going on though.
