Looks snazzzzy! Have you fished or back yard casted them yet? It is just nice to see reels without red accents and another reel that utilizes the MGL spool. Quote

I had confidence that Shimano wouldn't let me down, and so far they haven't. I posted up an overall fist impressions thread in the rod/reel section. Go check it out. Quote

Just buy one. You won't be disappointed. Here's another pic with its younger twin from today. Yeah, I pulled the trigger... 3 Quote

Haha yeah that's me. I grabbed another SV103 today and some hedgehog parts for a steal. We worked out a deal so he could keep the handle and drag star since I have that stuff extra. *owners picture 7 Quote
Super User fishwizzard Posted February 24, 2017 Super User Posted February 24, 2017 I want to post my rod/reel collection but every time I try to take good pictures they come out awful. I think I need to wait for a nice sunny day, but then why spend it indoors? In any case I am kinda shocked at what I have accumulated in three short years and I should get some pictures for my insurance in any case. Quote

When I first started building rods I learned how hard it is to take good pictures of them. Natural light on a bright day will probably produce the best pics. Quote

Unless I'm trying to sell something I don't put too much effort into it anymore. Quote

fvogel67 Posted February 24, 2017 Posted February 24, 2017 It's easily my favorite and most versatile rod.I use it to fish for saugeye and smallies in the Great Miami and also for largemouth in local gravel pits and ponds. I picked up an 852S a few months ago for 140.00 at a Field And Stream store.I used it once,Throwing tubes while fishing a gravel pit.I found it very light and responsive and it balanced well with a Saros 2500. 1 Quote

PatrickKnight Posted February 25, 2017 Posted February 25, 2017 Just a quick shot on the side of the river testing out my new rod Dobyns Sierra 703. This rod is easily one of the best balanced rods I have fished and the most sensitive that I have fished in the $200 price point. So very glad I took a chance on this rod. 7 Quote
Loomis13 Posted February 25, 2017 Posted February 25, 2017 Here are the two rods I have up at school with me. On top is a 6'2" avid with a lews tourney pro and on the bottom is one of walleye, crappie, and finese rods. A 6'6" Light Poison Adrena with a 1000 CI4+. Just about everything is opened up around here and then tonight we got snow and cold...bring on the spring! 8 Quote
