Nice setup.

Thanks! We go crappie fishing in the spring for several days, and last year was the first with that UL spinning setup and it was the best i've ever had. I haven't used the new casting setup yet, but the decision on what to buy was based on the UL experience. Sold my old (heavy power) setup to my dad because he likes fishing in underwater forests a lot more than i do.

I finally just pulled the trigger on an Orochi XX Perfect Pitch.  I'll be putting my Exsence DC on it.  Can't wait!!

One of my favorite combos, perfect for frogging and heavier jigs.  Right amount of power and tip.  The balance is great too with the heavier Exsence reel.

I had to let the perfect pitch go though, luckily I know where to find her again...

Yeah I've fallen in love with the XX series bigtime.  I got a FSS last season and loved it so much I started making moves to replace most of my stuff with them.  So light, so powerful, so comfortable and such versatility in the blanks...  To me they are just about perfect.  Doesn't hurt that they're so d**n sexy either!  It's hard for me to say a $300 rod is a great value but I definitely find them superior to many rods I've tried that cost even more.

I feel like that will be a perfect frog/jig/spinner/C rig type combo and it will still work when I go down to the shoreline too.

An avid UL with a Ci4+ is tough to beat in the UL department. Wouldnt get rid of mine for anything.

HI,

There some nice set up here ... you guys in US don't have the same mentality as us, in France. Here if you show people that you have great combos, you are treated, they say it's useless ... but if we give to them, they take ... lol ... In France, you can't show everything you have.

Here is mine,

- MajorCraft Volkey 70H - Shimano Chronarch 151HG

- Shimano Zodias 1610MH - Shimano Met' 13

- Megabass French Limited F4-68X - Shimano Met'13 HG

- MajorCraft Corzza 69M - Shimano Scorpion 201 14'

I just grab recently a Shimano/Jackall Poison Adrena 172H for my frog setup, and a Powell Max 704CB, my first amarican rod, but I think i felt in love with the Poison series, and I'll try to get the 172MH-G and and 1610L +/- BFS for this year.

I bought the reel through a friend that works for the Tackle Trap. Gary, doesn't really do much from the store these days. He works from home most of the time.

I finally got all of my reels spooled up on Saturday, and situated on the rods I want them on (for now).

I got to enjoy the weather and fish for a while Saturday afternoon and yesterday.

Don't mind the duck, she likes to watch me fish.

I held off for about 2 months and then I couldn't keep it out of my head any longer. Just buy one. You won't be disappointed. Here's another pic with its younger twin from today.

Nah, it's a very hard to find Japan only hook keeper. Good luck with that search.

Just kidding! It's a cable tie, or zip tie as most of us refer to them. Easy to find.

What is that spinner second from the right?

It is a really cheap R2F reel (made by South Bend) that I got at Walmart last spring when my bail spring took a crap in the middle of the weekend.

It was a $17 combo, I just put the rod butt in my shop for spooling reels, spooled the reel up with Sufix Elite, and have been using it since.

The rod that it's on is a 7' Abu Garcia Vengeance

Edit: maybe it's a 6'6"... I just use it lol

I see that you love JDM too, nice set up with Megabass ... Jackall ... but there's a brand I don't really see, is DEPS ... I got a some DEPS lures, that's work pretty well.

But never handled a DEPS Sidewinder rods (maybe one day, just to fish a couple hours with it :) )... looks so powerfull ... anyone here got some ?

Also like the "Style of Deps" :)
