Ah, OK. Thanks guys. I was hoping this would fit in my fenwicks odd sized real seat but my 201 and 51e curados had enough room in there to wiggle around.

if you are talking about the elite tech smallmouth rods the rear portion of the reel seat is very wide so the reel can move around. I use tape on the rear portion of the reel foot to solve this.

That's the one. I've used small pieces of shrink wrap and prefer it over tape.

Added a Jackson Trickster to coordinate. Looks so beautiful in person. I'll take better pics soon.

Small fish, big fish - they all have slime...

Congrats on getting the new rod on the water and catching fish...

Speaking of big fish....

this thing put up one heckuva fight. I have never caught a fish this big before. Didn't even know a cat like this existed in the small lake I fished.

The NRX handled it very nicely.

Hooked in the lip with one treble, on 14 lb line. Didn't even bend the hooks out!

Guessing that is a big flathead? Nice surprise catch! Any idea on weight or length?

I assume so too. I am far from an expert on catfish... only have caught one of them other than that one. I did not get any measurements on it, unfortunately. Some of the people there said it was probably 30+ lbs.

You sure don't waste any time.

Good looking reels.

I think it's daiwa/mb's best finesse reel. Looks awesome, love the 6:8 gear ratio, and plenty of spool options. Will most likely be adding purple sv spools to this and the IS

Zonda on endurance. It'll probably stay on here because the balance feels exceptional and it matches.

That's the reason I love the Endurance series so much. Not only is it a great rod for the money, but it doesn't matter if a reel is 5.5oz or 7.9. It still balances so good.

Nice additions Matt! What are your early impressions of Megabass reels over the numerous JDM Shimano and Daiwa reels you have tried. Do you think when it is over you will settle on your favorite, Shimano, Daiwa, and Megabass reels to form an impressive three headed monster?

Finally got the met out with its new partner. No big fish but the dinks were chewing the jig: image_zpso9jbybob.jpg

Decided to put it on a megabass orochi xx emtf. Perfect 3/8 ounce jig combo. It's like they were made for each other: image_zps3qncbyn5.jpg image_zpsmsqwf11l.jpg

Very nice Joe H. That is one my favorite jig rods up to a 1/2 oz jig plus trailer. With that Met it is a perfect visual and performance compliment to the EMTF! Great photos!
