Thanks guys. I'm just excited to be out of the house.

How does the SS SV and Alpha SV feel compared to the Steez? I don't know how I feel about taking my Zonda Hedgehog, IS71, and TD Ito with me on tournaments. I may buy cheaper alternatives for those three to use on tournaments and save those for pleasure fishing where I can take my time and be extra careful. I'm not expecting Steez performance but as long as it's good enough I guess. How does the SS SV feel as far as material since it's part Zaion.

They feel fine to me. I haven't used them yet so I can't say any more than that.

Welcome to the BFS world Mike! It looks like a match made in Heaven! Congrats Mike on such a beautiful combo! Now all you need to totally take advantage of that rod is a shallow spool when they make one for the Ald50HG.

Sold off all my favorite older rods, payed some bills. and had a little left over for a new bfs rod. The Megabass Super Criffhanger. Had that out with the Ultima today chasing some trout.

Matt you can't put purple and blue together! Just kidding I know you are probably playing around with spool options. Killer setups! It's unfortunate a few good oldies had to be sacrificed but its the way it goes sometimes.

Matt,

Reel sweet looking combos you put together there . As for the investment you put into them, it truly shows you are a "True Enthusiast" ...Congrats.

Shimano reel on a megabass rod? How dare you!

Still not as blasphemy as a Shimano and Daiwa setup!  :eyebrows:

Very nice collection of Daiwa's! I owned a Fuego, Pixy, Alphas, Zillion, Steez, and TDZ at one point but I've long since sold them all except for the Alphas. About the only other reel I wish I'd kept is the Fuego. I know that to a lot of guys the Fuego and Alphas aren't quite "on the same level" as the Steez or TDZ but they were my favorites. Especially the Alphas, I'm really looking forward to finding out if the new Alphas SV spool with fit the original reels as a "tune up" part. Either way you have a very very nice collection of some of Daiwa's best low pros.
