Don't do it!

Tracking down the Cumulus rods can be a nightmare. Hopefully you will come to your senses and at least keep one of them!

Good eye.  Still looking for heavier, but that seems the heaviest option so far.  Although, I think I would opt for the Loomis escape at 2 oz, just because the length of 6'9'' would help with the topwater more than the 1/4 oz lure rating would.

Thanks for all the help guys......I have been looking for a good bit and haven't found what I am looking for, and that is why I turned to y'all for the help!  keep em coming if you find one!

Dude -- custom build on an MHX blank :)

TR-846-3 is rated 3/4 - 2 1/2 in mod/fast action, but I'm sure you can throw heavier weights with no issue.  The rods I had built on the MHX blanks for Baccarac could ALL handle more than the labeled specs.  And of course you could have it cut down to whatever length you want.

I finally attempted my first rod fix. My guide was damaged in shipping so I replaced it...I also added a Fuji hook-holder.

Daggum...placing tiny micro guides is tedious!

Here's a factory guide for reference:

And compared to my thumb for size reference:

Nice!  Don't forget to put line on the reel and take the wrapping off the rod grip... ;)

Oh I will.  We've had rain and snow all week.  As soon as it dries up a little she will get wet.

I have envisioned owning the Glorious and the Ultima and an Aldebaran except that my Conquest 50 would be on the Ultima and the Aldebaran on the Glorious. Either way, your setups look great and I am envious!

All right - out of the box and looking good.  Next steps: Add line, add rods, add fish slime... ;)

(and I know - you still have hard water so there's still time to execute the next steps )

Thanks John. I'm constantly changing my combos up so will see. I put the ktf alde on the ultima for the fast gearing and light weight. Have the conquest on the glorious because its regular fast, so the slower gear ratio works better for moving baits.

I can't wait any longer for the new Aldebaran !!

Never post a picture of a reel without it having line on it, and mounted to a rod. If you do, the Goose will get ya!

The Stella has line!

Yeah, I noticed that...you get partial credit for the Stella but the Mets need some work...;)

Looks like the shelf queen already has its freedom. Sitting on the deck is a step or two closer to the local lake. "Mega" nice outfit!
