Fastmover3 Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 The paint job is a Pizz. Replaced the spool w a chronarch e7 It has a slight blue hue. Gears are all new shimano. All friction parts are polished and lightly lubed. Chronarch level wind tube , line guide, thumb bar, and drag knob are black so those have been installed. On the inside a full set of abec7 bearings. Carbontex drag set, The handle I found by chance on ebay. The spool brake cover ,line guide pawl cover, and line guide rod in blue from hedgehog studio. All gears are polished and this is now a super tuned fishing machine. Quote

Fastmover3 Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 Also 1 more thing to use the chronarch star drag you will need the brass nut and spring that fits it. Thanks for positive remarks guys. It was a lot of work to get the parts together but it learned a lot also like all the pics lots of cool stuff out there Quote
LivewellHero Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 The first setup is an Abu Garcia Orra SX20 on a Shimano Compre 6'8" medium XF drop-shot rod. The second is a Daiwa Aird 2000 on a Daiwa Aird 7' medium power fast action. These are my main two spinning setups as for now. I plan on upgrading the Aird reel to the Compre sometime, and move the Orra to a Crucial. Baitcast setups coming in the next post or two. Quote
LivewellHero Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 These two bait asters are my babies. But, they are polar opposites. The first is a Daiwa T3 Ballistic 6.3:1 paired with a Shimano Crucial 7'2" medium power fast action Worm and Jig rod. This combo is perfectly balanced, and a match made in heaven. It is a very "finessey" combo, and I run 10 pound line on it. The second is my big bait/power fishing setup. It's a Daiwa Tatula 6.3:1 on an iROD Genesis II 7'4" medium heavy power fast action. I use 14 pound line on this one. These are both very nice combos, and am proud to own them. Can't help but to pick them up and marvel them every time I see them! 2 Quote
LivewellHero Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 I wouldn't call those polar opposites, but they are nice set-ups nevertheless. I would considering the Crucial is rated for lures 1/8-1/4 oz... Then you have the huge Genesis at a whopping 7'4" MH... Quote
piscicidal Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 My trap/spook rod. Love the action on this Powell Max rod...it has the perfect action for working spooks. Red theme. 4 Quote
piscicidal Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 My jig set up. Not a huge Quantum Fan but their flipping switch is (ergonomically) the best in the business, IMO. This setup is very light but very powerful. Orange accents on the handle and reel match the accents on the Dobyns Extreme rod (745DX). 7 Quote
piscicidal Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 My "finesse" bait cast combo. Use this for light worm fish, jerkbaits, senkos, etc. This one has the custom anodized star drag and cast control knobs from a Curado 200E7. Blue anodizing matches the accents on the Dobyns Champion rod (704C) very well. 6 Quote
Crankinstein Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 Nice set ups! Those hawgtech handles look cool and I like the color matching with the rods. 1 Quote
