Trey Harpel Posted October 26, 2013 Posted October 26, 2013 All Daiwas...I work on a TON of shimanos, but every reel I own is a JDM daiwa.. Quote
Super User kickerfish1 Posted October 27, 2013 Super User Posted October 27, 2013 Nice JDMs Trey! That AOI is a beauty and worth a pretty penny and extremely rare. If you get a moment I think most of us would like to see the lucky reels that are riding around with you in the boat sitting on all those dobyns rods! Quote

piscicidal Posted November 7, 2013 Posted November 7, 2013 My flipping sticks, shown heavy to light....top to bottom: Savvy 766, Champion 805, Champ Extreme 795. Handle accent colors match the accents on the Dobyn's rods. Useful feature for quickly determining which rod to throw in a given situation. 2 Quote
Super User kickerfish1 Posted November 7, 2013 Super User Posted November 7, 2013 Digging the handles! Nice touch to any reel. 1 Quote

Super User rockchalk06 Posted November 9, 2013 Super User Posted November 9, 2013 Here is my pride and joy. Shimano Core 100MG spooled with 40# PP Slick atop my Dobyns Champion Extreme 745. This makes jig fishing a blast even when the jig bite is off. 2 Quote
Super User kickerfish1 Posted November 9, 2013 Super User Posted November 9, 2013 Nice rock! Stellar outfit no doubt, and one that will last for many years. Quote
Super User rockchalk06 Posted November 10, 2013 Super User Posted November 10, 2013 Nice rock! Stellar outfit no doubt, and one that will last for many years. Thanks man. I am waiting on funds for my Swim Jig rod which will be the same except for a 734. I finally decided to get some combos that will last the time. My son is now 7 and is getting more and more interested in fishing. It'd be nice to give these to him when he gets of age. Quote
Super User rockchalk06 Posted November 10, 2013 Super User Posted November 10, 2013 My cranking combo. Shimano Chronarch 200E5 spooled with 30# PP Slick atop my Avid MHM Cranking rod. 2 Quote

Super User aavery2 Posted November 10, 2013 Super User Posted November 10, 2013 I have picked a few reels up recently and have been doing minor upgrades to them, helps combat the cabin fever. The first is a Daiwa Fuego, it has a lot done to it, carbontex drag, abec 7's, added bearing to the levelwind, supertuned internals, Semper Fi CF handle with 4 bearing Megabass Hypercorks, Steeze swept dragstar, Hedgehog studio dress up parts. This is a Dawia Zillion that I picked up from a friend recently who preferred Lews reels, most of the work on this has been cosmetic to this point, I have a lot more planned for this one. The last is a JDM Gen 1 REVO IB, it is very similar to a Gen 2 Revo Premier, I have a few cosmetic changes to make to this reel, but really like the way it looks now. 4 Quote
Super User kickerfish1 Posted November 10, 2013 Super User Posted November 10, 2013 Nice trifecta! All look exceptionally nice, but that Fuego is one of the nicest I have seen upgraded. Quote

Thanks man, that's a very nice thing to say, I have a couple more dress up parts to add that I think will really set it off. I'll post a pic when I get them from Japan and get them installed. Quote
