What length and power you guys use for Pointer 100 jerkbaits and other similar larger size jerks? X-Raps, Swimmin' Image, etc.?

I use a 6'6" M Fast for the regular Pointer 100's. I step it up to a 6'9" MH Fast for the 100DD's.

6'2" MXF.  Same rod I use for topwaters.

How 'bout a 6'10" MH Browning Midas?

I fish most on a 6'3" MXF, some on a 6'6" MMod.

Kinda thought I would see more recommendations for mod/fast rods in this thread. I use a Dobyns 705CB graphite version for my jerkbait and shallow to medium cranking. Don't throw them enough at this point to have a dedicated rod.

7' Lamiglas Excel 703 ML, however, I do not throw the larger baits very often.

Looks like the Medium action rods are getting the most votes. I have several quality 7' M and 6'6" M rods. So.......would you go with a 7' M or 6'6" M for medium to large jerks and shallow diving cranks, 0'-6' depth range?

8-) Added the cranks to the mix. :)

I like a short rod and short handle for tip down twitchin'. Tou don't need the extra casting distance for shallow cranks to achieve their optimal depth so a shorter rod should be fine there to.

I'm liking my Veritas 6'6" MH, fast action for Vision 110s.  Good power and excellent bait control plus with superior action to control fish.
