I am wondering what hook(s) you guys are using for giant worms (13"+). Are you using just one hook or is it a double hook setup?

*Mods if this is posted in the wrong spot I apologize.

Monster EWG Gamakatsu 7/0.

Thickness of the worm dictates which size hook to use. On some hand pours I can get by with 5/0, usually a 6/0 works for most though.

I guess, now that I think about it, I use the Owner 5110 some, too.  I think it's only available in something like 7/0 and 11/0.

As I said, depends on the diameter of the worm. Haven't fished a 19" worm, so I can't comment, the OP said 13 + I do fish 16" worms with a 6/0 hook.

i throw some 12" on 5/0 or 6/0 depending on various conditions. clearer water or thicker grass I'll use the 5/0. stained water and not as much cover or fishing in wood/structure ill go to the 6/0

Hands down the Owner Oversized Worm Hook. Best big worm hook out there IMHO. It comes in 7/0 or 11/0.

x2. I like the 7/0 for anything around 11in.

I select hook size based on the thickness of the plastic not the length of the plastic :)

All good posts on here. I fish Big worms on night trips. And I fish worms from 10 in. to a 15 in. worm. And you can get away with a 5/0 up to a 7/0 for worms 10 to 15 in. I like the Netbait C-Mac in the 15 in. and that worm is less body and more tail than most 15 in. worms and that is what I want, more tail action!
