baluga Posted March 16, 2011 Posted March 16, 2011 Sufix 832 . Got this in the Mail on weekday and had a chance to test it last weekend. Here's the outcome. 1. Soft and Smooth almost like the Daiwa Samurai. 2. Thinner than Fireline Crystal. At 20# rating w/ 6# mono diameter compared to 20# Rating w/ 8# Diameter of Fireline. 3. Excellent casting line. 4. Noticed some color fading but it does not bleed like Daiwa Samurai 5. Quite on the retrieve compared to Power pro and Sufix Performance Braid. 6. Best of all it does not break easy like Daiwa Samurai. I think I got a very good replacement for Sufix Performance Braid. At $20 for 150 yrds spool it's a steal compared to Daiwa Samurai. Got no complains but praises and of course a review will not be complete without a pix of actual field test result. Meet our willing model 24 Halibut. Quote
johnD. Posted March 16, 2011 Posted March 16, 2011 I bought some, still like Jerry Brown solid core the best. Quote
baluga Posted March 16, 2011 Author Posted March 16, 2011 Good info. I would like to try the Jerry Brown and compare it, thanks! Quote
gatogordo Posted March 16, 2011 Posted March 16, 2011 I just got back from Lake Guerrero in Mexico. Used 80% of the time. I had it on all soft plastic rods. Although we didn't catch any big fish(my biggest was 5.2lb.) it held up GREAT with all the stick up and rocks. I pulled out a lot of fish out of junk with NO breaks. I was also hung up quite abit and pulled out some large vegatation and straightened some gammy EWG superline hooks. It casted and flipped great. It was a little stiff to start, half a day and KVD cond it loosened up a bunch. Sensativity was great! Like the other guy said it didn't bleed just faded. Used 40lb, and will use it all the time. I usually like to keep trying different types of line, but I will keep using this for braid. Quote
