B A S S E R Posted March 15, 2011 Posted March 15, 2011 Few questions about EVA knobs... Where can I get eva knobs for my BC's? How do I switch them out? Are most compatible with these reels: Revo SX, BPS PQ, BPS JM Sig Series What are the advantages? Quote
Stasher1 Posted March 15, 2011 Posted March 15, 2011 The only possible advantage I can see would be weight reduction, but there's such a minimal difference between a rubber knob and an EVA knob, I really don't think it would be worth the expense. The rubber knobs also seem like they'd last a lot longer. I have an EVA knob on my Supreme XT, and I've been looking for something to replace it since the first time I used it. It feels like a little sanding block. Quote
central.PA.bass Posted March 15, 2011 Posted March 15, 2011 I like rubber knobs more because I like to put reel grips on all of my reels.. Quote

central.PA.bass Posted March 16, 2011 Posted March 16, 2011 My fiancee got me an Okuma Trio HS spinning reel for Valentines day and it have EVA knob on it.. I'm anxiuos to try it out.. been iced out so far this year! Quote
breezy Posted March 16, 2011 Posted March 16, 2011 The Patriarch and Carbonlite both have handles with EVA knobs, I think you can get the handle assembly for $30-$40. I believe these would fit the Revos and PQ although I'm not 100% sure. As for the knobs themselves, I like the EVA. I can understand the 'sandpaper' comment but like the grip and feel myself. Only concern is durability. Quote
