I an needing a reel for throwing t-Rig plastic and jigs on a Falcon Cara Headturner. My Curado is great but felt the STX with 6.4-1 would be a great choice also and it seems a bit smoother. What do you guys recommend? :-?

Either would be a great choice, but I would recommend a hight speed reel for all worming and jigging.

High speed in either would be great. I love both of my curados, when lubed and tuned is such a great reel.

I have an Abu Winch and it does feel smooth but I like the weight and overall body style of Shimano better.

Either reel would be great.  If your fishing heavy cover and need to get the fish out of cover quickly then go with the 7.0:1 reel, if not then the 6.4:1 would be fine.

I personally would go with the STX, I really like the drag and the dual braking system better.  But you won't go wrong with either reel.

You can find Curados for about $50 cheaper... STX not worth the price difference in my opinion.

Thanks guy's, I think I will stick with the Curado but if I keep having the same luck as I had the past few trips I might just get a cane pole.   :)

I might be putting my curado E7 up for sale soon.Might just keep it and put it away for awhile too...I like my STX better.  :-/ They are both good reels though.

Too many baitcasters and none of them are really getting used like they should be. I'm going to primarily be fishing Daiwa Fuego and Revo STX this year.

I'd like to pick up a pixy or a sol. who knows though..My momey is going toward other things besides fishing right now.
