Mr SwimJig Posted March 10, 2011 Posted March 10, 2011 I tried one of these rods a while back and was not impressed at all. The rods overall quality was very nice, but they are way over priced and the grip, well its not something I want on any of my rods anytime soon. SJ

I think he is referring to the fact that they insulated the handle so you wouldn't be bothered by feeling the fish through the rod handle when they bite. Course I can't speak for him. It doesn't make a difference in sensitivity at all. The rods are light and EXTREMELY sensitive. All the components are high quality and they are made in the USA in Athens Georgia. The grip really does help in cold weather. It stays warm for a decent amount of time after you stop holding it.

It might be true but it hurts... :'( lol No not really I hate to say it because I'm a young gun myself, but being sponsored means next to nothing about the quality of a young angler. Your focus should not be to gain sponsors at such a young age. Your goals should be centered around simply getting more hands on experience at your local body of water. Just have fun!
