bpNClgmouth Posted March 10, 2011 Posted March 10, 2011 I have about 10 setups as of now, but what I'm lacking is a frog setup as well as a jig/heavy flippin setup. Just wondering what (if possible) would you recommend for these 2 techniques that I can get away with on one quality rod ($100-$170). Quote
Flywatersmallie Posted March 10, 2011 Posted March 10, 2011 Dobyns Savvy 735. Will cost right around your limit but should do you well for both those techniques. I've got one, though the water is still hard here and it hasn't been used, I bought it for the same reason Quote

kayakfisher Posted March 10, 2011 Posted March 10, 2011 I use the Okuma Guide Series Select Swimbait rod in 7'6" MH for my frogs and swimbaits. I dont jig/flip so it doesnt apply to me... but many people are using it for that application amazon.com/Okuma-Select-Casting-7-Feet-Medium-Heavy/dp/B001V7KQYG/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1299773167&sr=8-1 I got it last week and it was only $75, but I guess the price went up. Either way, I am a fan of Okumas, cant really beat the price for a good rod with lifetime warranty Quote
