Super User Hooligan Posted March 7, 2011 Super User Posted March 7, 2011 I'm not a big Daiwa guy, let alone knowing anything about the JDM reels. I picked up an Alphas from a guy for peanuts, and wonder whether I should sell it, or keep it and use it. It's a 103L. If I were to sell it, what would a reasonable price be? It's 9/10 look and 10/10 mechanically. Thanks in advance. Quote
Super User .ghoti. Posted March 7, 2011 Super User Posted March 7, 2011 The Alphas series are all nice little reels. Keep it and use it. You will like it. Try it on your shallow crankbait or jerkbait rod. I have three; a 103, a 103 F and an R edition, with one more 103 F on the way from Japan right now. I use mine for light line applications, but I know some who use them for heavier duty. Quote
Delaware Valley Tackle Posted March 7, 2011 Posted March 7, 2011 These are a neat little reel that can handle light baits. They make a nice pitching reel. They went for $265 + when they came out. You can check ebay etc to see what they're bringing. Quote
Super User J Francho Posted March 7, 2011 Super User Posted March 7, 2011 I'll give you a $120 for it. last one I bought was BNIB for $170. Quote
Super User Hooligan Posted March 7, 2011 Author Super User Posted March 7, 2011 Thanks for the replies. Ebay has them going anywhere from $220 to $380 new and used. I may as well just keep it and play with it. Quote
