susky killer Posted March 6, 2011 Posted March 6, 2011 Looking for a c ranking stick to use around laydowns and tight courters. I would also like to be able to use it for spooks and poppers in similar situations. I want a 6'6'', MH, and would like to be around a $100. I already have a 7' cranking stick and just want a rod that I can be more accurate with. Any suggestions that fit that criteria? Thanks. Quote
WanderLust Posted March 6, 2011 Posted March 6, 2011 Lots of rods fall into that category. For the money Shimano Compre & Abu Garcia Vendetta are tough to beat. Quote
WanderLust Posted March 6, 2011 Posted March 6, 2011 Fenwick HMG Keep hearing about Fenwick... But no one around here sells them. Quote
Vinny Chase Posted March 6, 2011 Posted March 6, 2011 Fenwick HMG Keep hearing about Fenwick... But no one around here sells them. Best rod for the money...They are comparable to my Dobyns champions. Cabelas carries them.. Quote

Rangerphil Posted March 6, 2011 Posted March 6, 2011 I have a brand new with tags shimano crucial 6'6" mh rod for sale in the flea market, 115.00 includes shipping! Bait caster rod. Quote
tholmes Posted March 7, 2011 Posted March 7, 2011 ^^ Keep an eye on the flea market forum. There are bargains to be had, for sure. But if you want to buy new, the Fenwick HMG (as Vinny Chase recommended) is a lot of stick for the $$. Tom Quote
