Red Posted February 20, 2008 Posted February 20, 2008 i plan to fish this coming saturday and or sunday. the weather as of now is calling for mostly sunny, 65, South winds at 15 mph. recently i have been catching fish on jigs and t-rigs. but nothing over 2lbs. so what can i do to increase my chances of catching a better quality fish? bigger baits? smaller baits? or different baits, i really havent even thrown anything other than jigs and t-rigs...mostly jigs tho. and like i said they have been producing fish, but i would like to try to target bigger fish this weekend. i will be fishing gold course ponds with alot of sticks and stuff lying on the bottom...water is semi clear and i can get to about 1-12 feet deep in some spots. most visible cover is in shallow water...under 4 feet. any help is much appreciated thanks Cliff Quote

You are fishing with a jig, and that's usually a big fish bait, i'd say be patient and keep on doing what you are doing. As Ever, skillet BTW Good Luck i am using a 5/16 eakins jig with paca chunks and baby paca craws as trailers....should i go bigger? i have been fishing them very slow....do you think i need to slow down more, or speed it up? thanks and sorry for te n00b questions Cliff Quote
