i just bought a pro qualifier friday and i havnt put line on it or on a rod because it hasnt come in yet but while messing around with i could not figure out how to adjust the centrifugal brakes. i could not get the pins to move. i didnt want to force them because i didnt want to break the reel. this is my first dual breaking system and first reel with centrifugal brakes. am i doing something wrong?

I never had to mess with mine. I just set my tension knob how I like it and leave my break on 4 or 5 and change that when needed.  They're others who know allot more than me but I don't see why you need to mess with it. If there is I'll be glad to know why and how myself cause I never attempted to mess around with it.

Just use your fingernail to push the pins in or out - they do take a bit of force to move.

I believe the ProQ normally comes with 4 on (they slide out and touch the race on the inside of the side cover). You'll only want 2 on (or 1 and some mag brakes on), unless your new to BC's. They snap outward for "on" and snap inward for "off".
