That's just about the perfect multi purpose rod.  You can throw almost anything with that rod in the range of 1/4 to 3/4 oz.

Definitely a good choice for smaller spinnerbaits, and possibly lighter soft plastics, like small t-rigs and shaky heads...depending on the sensitivity of the rod.

I'm actually in the market for a 7' MF casting rod right now for light t-rigs. My 7' MHF actually handles them fairly well, but I think I can squeeze a bit more distance out of the cast with a Med.
