Hey yall, I am looking for an all in one rod for throwing frogs, jigs up to an oz and texas rigs. I mainly fish pretty heavy cover at Guntersville so I would like a rod that is sensitive yet powerful enough to yank em out of the grass. I was looking at the dobyns rods and the powells but dont know much about em. My price range is 150-200 but would like to stay in the lower end. Thanks in advance!

I'd say anything in a H would do.  I have / have had a 704, 705, and 766 Powell and a SS704 Dobyns, any of these rods would be fine.

Be patient, check our Flea Market frequently and

do some shopping on the internet. For around $175

you should be able to find a new or gently used

G.Loomis IMX MBR844C. This is a classic rod!

All-in-one implies more versatility than the few uses in the OP. For sheer versatility for bass fishing go 7"  MH/F. If you want something a little more focused on the uses you mentioned, you might want to go 7'-7'6" Hvy/F. A used, higher quality rod as Roadwarrior suggests is not a bad idea.

I'd like to suggest a used Zillion Flip & Pitch rod for the techniques you specified. I originally bought mine to try with frogs. What I found out from an Internet friend is that this rod can do much more. Here are some of his comments about the rod.

That Zillion Flip and Pitch rod is a rod that can handle many lures. Like hollow bodies, swim baits, hard swim baits under 3ozs (that rod is way under rated it will handle a 3oz bait with ease), large spinner baits, large rattle/lipless cranks for ripping out of grass, large worm/trigs, big Carolina rigs, of course flipping and pitching, frogs, and others. It really is a fine rod that's bullet proof and very sensitive.

And

The Zillion Flip and Pitch rod would cover a pitching rod, big trig rod, Med. Swim baits and frogs for you.

And

It's an amazing value in a truly premium rod. I will tell you one thing. That rod's STIFF. Take it easy on hook sets or you will rip the hooks out.
