So I bought 6 new rods last week, 4 shimano claurus's and 2 shimano compre's. I finally had time to hit the pond today with these new additions. All I can say is wow I am really impressed with the quality of these rods for their price! I have had multiple all star's a W&M rod and a carrot stix and I must admit these rods fish much better than all of those. The sensitivity of these rods was really impressive. If you are in the market for a new rod definitely give these rods a look! Does anyone else here fish with these shimano rods?

Well said. Indeed, they are definitely great bang for the buck in both lines. I have a clarus casting, and a compre spinning and a crucial casting. I dare not step up to the Cumara or Cumulus for fear of a thinner wallet!

Yup, I 've got two, great rods for 70 dollars.

I have (2) Compre rods.

A spinning 6'6 MH that my son loves and I just picked up a CPC-C70MB for lighter cranking applications.

Great Value.

I have a 7' MH Clarus spinning rod, it is now 10 yrs old and it's still my favorite rod. I gave it a new reel this yr, found a Shimano Spheros 4000fa at a local tackle shop for $49. This rod is tough, it has caught everything from Bass to Black Drum and small Sharks. Every time I think of upgrading it, I find an excuse not to. I also have a 6'6" ML casting Compre, however it does not get used that much. I am not big on casting equipment.

As much as I "plug" shimano's clarus line of rods I should get compensated.  But I think I have 5 of them in total, and absolutely love them.  I also have cumara's and powell rods, but have not found a good enough reason to get rid of the clarus's.  Additionally, they come with one of the best warranties in the game!

Compre and Clarus, you are not going to beat these for their prices and warranties. All that aside though, they are great rods. I have two of the Compres and would not hesitate to get more.  For those who want to save a little, they can go for the Clarus and still not be sacrificing quality though.

I have a Compre spinning rod, paired with a Stradic, and it's a great rod for a hundred bucks, especially with the warranty.

just wanted to make sure you were aware of the current compre/clarus promotion: $10 rebate on clarus and $20 rebate on compre
