rumbal Posted February 14, 2011 Posted February 14, 2011 I'm going to buy a rod for frogging, pitching in really heavy cover. Which of these rods would you choose? I'd get the Dobyns SS 766, but I need the only rod which has a retractable butt section (becouse of transportation). I know the choice of 7' rods is much more on the market, but I think 7' rod would be too short for frogging. I'd be very grateful if you advise me a strong telescopic rod, no more than $200. Thanks in advance. Quote
pitchin fool Posted February 14, 2011 Posted February 14, 2011 I have 2 TDS rods, and I like them very much. I have the 7foot jig/worm and the 6-6 jig/worm. I have held and played around with the froggin' rod, but wasn't sure on the telescopic part. I'd rather have the full one piece, but if you went for it I'm sure you would be more then pleased with it. Mine are light, sensitive and very durable...great rod for the price!!! Quote
dude loves to fish Posted February 15, 2011 Posted February 15, 2011 I have the Kistler DPT78T rod and I really like it a lot. The sensitivity of this rod is Unbelievable and it is extremely light, thats what sold me on this rod. I can fish a big jig all day and my hands and arms are not tired. When it comes to rods, I look for the most sensitive one I can find and to me, Kistler has the most sensitive. Great rod to travel with. Quote
Pantera61 Posted February 16, 2011 Posted February 16, 2011 I used the Daiwa S for quite a few years. Great performing rod. Quote
