I was fishing today and got to thinking about something.  I have 2 falcons (one bought at the bm classic for a good deal and one a birthday present).  These are by far my favorite rods.  However, I always hear people talk about finding falcons on sale for ridiculous prices, so i continue to wait for these sales. Well, going on 2 years now and i have yet to see falcon rods on sale.  Could somebody maybe give me a heads up or point me in the right direction?

I got my Lowrider from TW for something like $89 (free shipping) a couple of years ago. It was $109, then subtract 20% for the holiday sale.

You rarely see any make of nicer rods go on sale unless they're blowing out an older lineup. You just have to keep an eye out and be ready to jump on the deal.

Cabela's Bargain Cave is one place to keep an eye on weekly. Most of the time there's nothing of interest there, but gems pop up every now and then and you have to be quick.

I was able to order a "LowRider" from Cabela's a couple years back on clearance from the bargain cave.  It was about $80.

Well the rod arrived at my door and I tore open the tube.  Much to my delight it was a Cara!!!! :(

Guess the guy at the warehouse grabbed the wrong rod, oopps.  I didn't complain.   ;D

Once Academy Sports gets their online shopping set up you should be able to get in their once year "rod blowout". I think $129-$159 rods go down to $119.....something like that. Great deals though. I'm gonna get in on it this year. Should be cominng up soon actually.

There is an older style 6'6" Falcon Expert MH on another forum's classified section for $125. There are still a few new one's available on another site for $279. I'd go for the older style used one! :(

i got two falcon orig. at wal-mart when they got rid of them for $20 each. i've seen the 6'6" md. bend farther than i've ever seen a rod bend and not break on a stupid side hooked drum.
