Super User Raul Posted August 19, 2010 Super User Posted August 19, 2010 Yep, it comes that way.Ito is a pretty distinguished designer. If I am not confusing him with another, he also does (or did) work for Megabass on some of their cooler looking baits. I have an Ito Pop Max that is just sick looking. Yuki Ito is the head designer and owns Megabass. Quote

Super User SoFlaBassAddict Posted August 19, 2010 Super User Posted August 19, 2010 Spinning: 20lb braid w/8lb to 12lb fluoro or co-poly leader Worm/Jig rod: 30lb braid w/12lb to 14lb fluoro leader Flippin/Froggin: 40lb braid (I'll put a 14lb fluoro leader on if the cover is thinner) General use: 40lb braid w/12lb to 14lb fluoro leader I don't think you ever need anything heavier than that unless you are in some seriously nasty stuff. Once I break down and buy a rod thats Heavy or Extra heavy, I'll probably stick 50-65 on that one. I learned my lesson at Okeechobee about needing at least one really stout rod. Quote
Super User BASSclary Posted August 19, 2010 Author Super User Posted August 19, 2010 Oh okay thanks I've been using 65# just for the safety of really never losing a rig, but I wanna downsize and didn't know whats about right. Does thinner line cast easier? Quote
Super User SoFlaBassAddict Posted August 19, 2010 Super User Posted August 19, 2010 40 casts fine for me. You're probably fine with 65 to be totally honest. It's still a super thin diameter. I wouldn't go any lower than 30 on a casting reel though. It does dig in a hair. Quote
I.rar Posted August 19, 2010 Posted August 19, 2010 great pics guys. i use 20/6 powerpro w/ 6lb cxx leader on my spinning reel and 50/12 PP with 10lb cxx leader on casting. no problems here. Quote
CKFishin Posted August 23, 2010 Posted August 23, 2010 Nothing special as alot of guys here The farthest baitcaster from the camera was my first baitcaster I got after I learned on one of my dads when I was 13.... the second was another baitcaster I got as a gift a few years ago because I stopped using baitcasters for some reason.... The curado I just bought.. Quote
