Stasher1 Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 I've been pretty pleased with both Sufix Elite mono and PowerPro braid. I know there are some newer braids out that get pretty good reviews, but PP hasn't failed me yet. Plus, I can find it locally and it's available in an easy to see yellow. I have a few spools of Trilene 100% and BPS XPS fluoro that have been working fine for me as well, but I only use them for leader material now. Quote
WanderLust Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 Daiwa Samurai braid 30# Suffix Elite Mono Trilene 100% fluoro Quote
MonarkMcfaster Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 I prefer BPS Excel for a mono. Florocarbon I like Berkley 100% or I also use Vanish. I rarely ever use braid but when I do I use Suffix Elite. Quote
Super User ww2farmer Posted February 2, 2011 Super User Posted February 2, 2011 Braid: Power Pro, or Spiderwire stealth. Flurocarbon: Trilene 100% or Vanish..............yes Vanish, I have ZERO problems with it. Mono: Trilene Sensation, XL, or Big Game, never used XT much. Quote

philsoreel Posted February 3, 2011 Posted February 3, 2011 For finesse spinning 6-8lb. Fluoro Seaguar Tatsu Higher test Fluoro- Toray Solaroam Superhard Upgrade but Trilene 100% isn't bad for the money Superline- Sufix 832....Samurai is smooth and quiet but.......for the sake of argument I'll just say I don't like it. Mono??? Gotta find a new fav. Trilene XL has failed me lately. Copoly- P-Line CX Premium is pretty tough stuff but I stay away from small diameters in copoly Quote
lightsout Posted February 3, 2011 Posted February 3, 2011 Yozuri hybrid has been really good to me for the past 5+ years on baitcasters. I recently have been using suffix perf. braid on a PQT and I'm really impressed so far. I tried a couple diffrent flouros and have decided the cons out weigh the pros (for my style of fishing). Pline CXX in #6 has been good on a spinning reel. Power pro in #15 has been spooled on a few of my abu cardinals for 4 years or so and hasnt given me any trouble. Quote
Rangerjoe Posted February 3, 2011 Posted February 3, 2011 Stren original. Fireline braid Cabela's Fluorocarbon Quote
