The Guy Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 I've had a 7ft MH casting one since christmas and use it 2 to 3 times a week. I've had no issues. I like the rod a lot it is very light and sensitive. Look to see if the guides line up before you buy one. There were a couple in the store that had one guide that was way off. Quote
Pantera61 Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 1. ALL rods have horror stories when first introduced. Some are serious, others should be taken with a grain of salt. 2. It's a pain when rods break because of the inconvenience to you but great customer service goes a long way. 3. I had the opportunity to fish a prototype Veritas casting rod for a full season before official introduction and I put the rod through Hell, per request of the individual who sent me the rod. The rod performed well without a single hiccup. I used lures beyond the recommended range and line beyond the recommended range. I used the rod for applications from finesse to flippin'. High-sticked on hooksets and quicksets during reaction strikes, never a problem. Based upon my experience with that one rod, I purchased the next heavier model when the Veritas became available on the market and I couldn't be happier. I purchased the 6'9" spinning rod and the 7'6" MH flippin' stick. I used the spinning rod once before the weather turned to crap up here and wasn't able to fish the flippin' stick. When the Verdict rods became available I sold the spinning rod and flippin' stick to get the upgraded blank. You can purchase a Veritas rod with total piece of mind because even if there is equipment breakdown, Abu's customer service is excellent. Quote

I have a 7'3" MH. I use it as a pitching rod with a shimano castaic on it. 15 # FC. Its been good so far. It is light. The guides are fine. The reel seal is a bit funky. I would prefer regular fuji seat but no big deal. For the price it is a good rod. Quote
Skeet22 Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 I have 6'6" M Spinning 7'3" MH Casting 7'6" MH Casting and 3 Vendettas Love all of them Quote
lsufan334 Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 I have: 7' M Spinning 6'6" M Casting 6'9" MH Casting 7' M Casting 7' MH Casting 7'3" MH Casting 7'6" MH Casting and plan on picking up another 7' MH tomm. I love these rods and have only had one hiccup. Had the rod break in half on the hookset. I have been using these rods since their release in Sept. due to decent weather down here in Bama they have been used on average 2-3 times a week. Got to say the 7' M casting i use for cranks and the 7' M spinning i use for shakey heads are my favorites. Quote
