lynyrdsky1 Posted January 19, 2011 Posted January 19, 2011 Has anyone had any experience with this rod? Saw the price and some reviews but a lot of people are comparing this to an Ugly Stik. Just like to get someones opinion on this. Quote
Ima Bass Ninja Posted January 19, 2011 Posted January 19, 2011 Yep i got 1.. Great rod. got the 2 piece casting version for ...um "slow" days at work...lol.....As stated earlier great rod. I throw all kinds of lures with it however it does struggle a little with heavier lures. It has good power and i've hauled in some nice fish with it no problems. Biggest one being 5-6 lbs. Quote

trevor Posted January 19, 2011 Posted January 19, 2011 I have on. Imagine an really light Ugly Stick with Cork grips and even softer tips. They have light wire guides without inserts. Quote
Super User Grey Wolf Posted January 19, 2011 Super User Posted January 19, 2011 I have one that I throw heavier cranks with, It works pretty good for the price. Quote
BIGSPANKY34 Posted February 3, 2011 Posted February 3, 2011 I have a 7ft M Spinning and a 6Ft M Spinning rod. The 6 ft rod is great for skipping plastics and throwing light lures it has held up well to abuse for 2 years. I use it when fishing from the banks. The 7Ft. rod on the other hand I have never liked, it feels really heavy in the tip and all they way through. Also it does not balance well with any reel I have tried. Hope this helps. Quote

Not a put down by any stretch on my part. If you need the durability, go for it. Quote
Super User QUAKEnSHAKE Posted February 4, 2011 Super User Posted February 4, 2011 Ive seen a few times they were on sale at Cabelas Bargain Cave for $19.99. Just checked not right now though. Quote
