ghost Posted February 16, 2008 Posted February 16, 2008 They're SEXY!!! I've been looking for these lures in this color. Found some on ebay, but h*ll if I'm paying for what they are asking for them on ebay! BPS had these lures in the Sexy Shad color. The bottom lure is a BPS Extreme Shallow Crank. The color is very close to the Sexy Shad, I just brushed on some glitter to have close to the Strike King version. I couldn't resist....cool color! Quote
Super User Micro Posted February 16, 2008 Super User Posted February 16, 2008 Looks like Strike King has a "fish on." YOU. ><)))))0> Quote

LCpointerKILLA Posted February 17, 2008 Posted February 17, 2008 What's so great about that color? Looks a lot like LC chartreuse shad except for that blue shading which probably is virtually invisible under water. BUNGGGGGGG!!! Quote
Super User burleytog Posted February 17, 2008 Super User Posted February 17, 2008 Yes, the Chartreuse Shad pattern offered by Lucky Craft, Bandit, Jackall, etc. is similar to the Sexy Shad, but it isn't identical. IMO the Norman pattern is a little better, but those are a bit more scarce than the SK's at the moment. Rapala's shad pattern is simliar, just a darker shade of blue. Quote

Everyone is going bonkers over the sexy shad colored baits just because KVD won a couple tournaments on them last year... Quote

Super User burleytog Posted February 17, 2008 Super User Posted February 17, 2008 Here's the Norman Sexy Shad pattern vs. the Lucky Craft Chartreuse Shad pattern. The LC is almost too light colored for my liking. It could use just a little more coloring on the sides. L-R: Norman Deep Little N, Lucky Craft Skeet Mini-DR, Bandit 300, Strike King Series 4, Rapala DT-6 All very similar patterns. Quote

HesterIsGod Posted February 19, 2008 Posted February 19, 2008 i think sexy shad is ok. im not too fanatical over it. i like bombers tennessee shad more.i've seen red eye shads in sexy shad at my loca dicks a lot...not scarce around here. I couldnt agree more. Bombers in tennessee shad is a staple for me. I dont think color is as important as a lot of people think especially in cranks. I dont think the sexy shad color is really all that special and im not going to go out of my way to buy it. Quote

Saladmander Posted February 19, 2008 Posted February 19, 2008 I dont think color is as important as a lot of people think especially in cranks. I agree with that to some degree. I think general color schemes (lighter vs. darker, natural vs. flashy...etc.) make a difference. I don't think subtle color differences matter all that much. Quote
