I have a 7'6" MH extra fast taper rod... what applications would this be good for?  It is a pretty nice rod, and I need to use it, just not sure what I should throw with it.... what would you use it for??

Large texas rigs, jigs, and spinnerbaits.

Pitchin/flippin, c-rigs, stand out more than anything. Actually you could use it for any other application you would use a shorter XF MH rod for.

I personally would not use it for deep cranks though.

Great for carolina rig based on the length and with that fast tip.

Incidentally that is my absolute fav rod for flipping/pitchin 3/8 oz to 1 Oz  jigs/trig plastics  :D

I love how practically everyone replying here gives a completely different technique. Should go to show you that it's a versatile rod and most techniques will work with it.

Or that they don't know any better what to use it for than he did.   ;D :D

I think it's a little stout for crankbaits or any treble hook type bait, unless you're using mono for some shock absorbsion with setting the hook.

Like others have mentioned, C-rigs, Flippin', or even a frog rod. Good luck.

Is an excellent Rod for Carolina Rigs.... but amazing for set the hook in deep water, plastics!!!

There's a lot you can do with that rod.  Just about anything that will work on a 7 footer will work on a 7 and a half footer.
