Super User BASSclary Posted January 27, 2011 Super User Posted January 27, 2011 Large texas rigs, jigs, and spinnerbaits. Quote
hitchhiker Posted January 27, 2011 Posted January 27, 2011 Pitchin/flippin, c-rigs, stand out more than anything. Actually you could use it for any other application you would use a shorter XF MH rod for. I personally would not use it for deep cranks though. Quote
Primus Posted January 27, 2011 Posted January 27, 2011 I agree with Hitchhiker that this would be a good choice for C-rigs & Pitchin'. Quote
lynyrdsky1 Posted January 27, 2011 Posted January 27, 2011 Great for carolina rig based on the length and with that fast tip. Quote

X2 Incidentally that is my absolute fav rod for flipping/pitchin 3/8 oz to 1 Oz jigs/trig plastics Quote

VAfishin4me Posted January 27, 2011 Posted January 27, 2011 I love how practically everyone replying here gives a completely different technique. Should go to show you that it's a versatile rod and most techniques will work with it. Quote

Revo_Carrot Stix Posted January 28, 2011 Posted January 28, 2011 I think it's a little stout for crankbaits or any treble hook type bait, unless you're using mono for some shock absorbsion with setting the hook. Like others have mentioned, C-rigs, Flippin', or even a frog rod. Good luck. Quote
David Rangel Posted January 28, 2011 Posted January 28, 2011 Is an excellent Rod for Carolina Rigs.... but amazing for set the hook in deep water, plastics!!! Quote
BassThumb Posted January 28, 2011 Posted January 28, 2011 There's a lot you can do with that rod. Just about anything that will work on a 7 footer will work on a 7 and a half footer. Quote
