Currently I am using a Revo SX high speed for my swimbaits, and have read that a slower ratio reel is far more advantageous for swimbaits.  I love the Revo series(I have the 2010 Revo SX and 09 SX-HS) and don't have the cash for the higher end models.  What do you all think of the Revo S for tossing swimbaits? I was thinking of getting the Revo S and using the SX-HS for my jig/worm/spinnerbait reel.

That should work.  I use my Revo S for Cranks so it should work for Swimbaits.  I too have  a few Revo SX's that I use for pitching/flipping and spinnerbaits.

Just depends on what you are going to throw.

The internals of small frame, low-profile reels were not designed to handle the abuse of throwing big baits.

From your other thread, I saw where you will be staying under two ounces. On that note, you should be ok with a Revo S.

I think that would be a smart move. Its a tough reel and I dont think the lack of a magnetic breaking system will make a difference here. Since your throwing swimbaits.
