flipin4bass Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 Yesterday I brought two bottles of KVD line conditioner in from an unheated garage and I could hear ice on the inside of the bottles. After thawing out, the liquid was milky and a little sticky. Yep, says right on the back of the bottle, "Do not let freeze." This lesson cost me $16. Quote
Super User Gatorbassman Posted January 19, 2011 Super User Posted January 19, 2011 Oh man, that stinks. I just went through a bottle myself. I just got my supply of line in for the year and it's all treated and drying. (I'm now watching my daughter use the spools as building blocks. lol) Quote
MaxumBass Posted January 19, 2011 Posted January 19, 2011 That sucks ! I'm in the same boat, never gave it a thought. Wonder if Reel Magic is the same ? :'( Quote

First thing I noticed was the "Don't let freeze". They're both in my closet....waiting for a bit warmer weather. Question: What if you treated the line on your reels in your boat.....would that freeze up like the bottles do? :-? Quote

Wonder if Reel Magic is the same ? :'( Reel Magic is NOT the same as KVD line cond. Just my two sents I have used both and I would NEVER go back to Reel Magic. I would use Reel Magic to maybe lube my reels gears. Quote

I would call Rob who owns the company and he may help you out with your ice bottles. He is a great guy. Quote

The distillates that make it sprayable actually dissolve grease and that's the last thing you want. Quote
